I think playing ECL is a mistake with bossk. Playing a 30 hp base and events to control the board including force choke, open fire and i am your father is very strong against boba yellow and all the other meta decks. I just made top 3 at my locals with that deck only losing to a mono yellow han. If you just play control for the early game using the bounties to get value playing the early units for you or drawing or ramping and you can deal with shields with bossks ping. Mid game you can play your krayts by double ramping with a double claim price on your head and other high cost units that hurt your opponent early
Yeah i think the allure of ambushing jango/krssantan and in this case kylo is too much

Isn’t this technically 3 for 3 1/1’s when you include the when defeated? Which also means it has some protection against board wipe type of effects.
It's 3 for 2 1/1s immediately and then another 1 when defeated, but you don't get all three at first if the opponent ignores it and you don't have a way to get the Escort killed. And yeah it provides a little resilience to Bombing Run and the like!
I could see this being a good staple card for any yellow separatist deck. Just need to see more cards from the upcoming set to see how synergies will go
Can I play any card that share or has the villainy (black) aspect even if it also has another aspect (like a black green card) or does this card mean the free 3cost card must only and exclusivley have the villainy aspect
It's fine for the card to have another aspect as well!
I've seen SO MANY missed Punishing One triggers on stream. The main thing they have in common is tokens. It seems like players have a very hard time remembering that an experience token is still an Upgrade in the game rules.
It's easy to forget that experience (and shields) are upgrades!
I feel this game is a PERFECT example why we SHOULD use base damage counters (apps); it's too easy to obfuscate the current damage on a base. SWU Counter (Android app) is the best I've seen so far. FFG really needs to get on this. A close read of the official tournament rules don't say one way or the other about using base damage counters (apps) during a tournament, but the defacto use of tokens or anything else does give a small advantage, even if both players choose to expoit them.
You're right, it was crazy when some people figured out how to play the yellow boba more aggressively and it was arguably the top deck of showdown season.
First game, Alex should have waited the next turn to deploy boba to play around power of the dark side. Not having ECL also puts a handicap on his deck. Boba Green is still a strong deck but this does not represent how the deck could really be played!

Imo this is where tokens are worse. The attached shield card makes it much clearer to each player that it is in fact an upgrade

Its a weird thing, but i imagine you can triple dark raid this, and kill a guy or two on play for an absurd turn 3 punch. At least depending on the timing of exploit.

I’m guessing that the droids will be cheap units that you would be fine killing for this card. Then if you do use exploit 4 for a 7 6 is great
Yes, there are going to be Battle Droid token units which are 1/1s and generated by other cards -- perfect to sacrifice here!

I can believe space leaders in set 4. I also wonder if Planet will be a new card type. Sets 1-3 was intended as the baseline. Time to start shaking things up

felt great buying IG88 showcase for $100, IG88 is so underrated, my IG88 green trooper themed deck is so fun to play, 1st turn: benthic, deathstar, 2nd turn: (8 damage) deathstar, tagge, 3rd turn academy training, lieutenant (20 damage) ~ thats 28 damage total on turn 3

Agree about jump to lightspeed. Really excited to see if that's the case. What do you think about Legends of the Force? Dipping into Legends (formerly EU) material, or just Legendary force users from Canon?
I somewhat doubt they would go to Legends this early and think it's more likely that it would be High Republic era, but I'm not sure.
The big question is, of course: do coordinate and/or token units make IG88 meta😁😁
Honestly I doubt it, but there's always hope! One other note is I think this set will likely see some Droid synergies that might well work for IG-88 as well as the Separatist battle droids...

Ruling question! So if i capture opponents village protector, then my next action is Dryden to "play" the village protectors, do the village protectors come in shielded since they are also a when played give this unit a shield???
Correct. Playing a card with Dryden's ability is still playing it so you get When Played effects, including Ambush and/or Shielded if applicable.
Great video! I won a 50 person Showdown (6-0) last week using Sabine Green. I definitely believe Green is currently the strongest variant. My list runs 3 Timely Intervention, 3 Sundari Peacekeeper, and 2 Darksaber. It combines the best of the Rebels with some Mandalorians. Timely Intervention provides much needed ambush flexibility. I used it several times to take care of small pesky units (such as Lurking Tie Phantom), and allows me to save ECL for Poe or Wrecker. The Peacekeepers are difficult to defeat, provide healing, and synergize with the Darksaber. I won several games against other aggro decks due to the Peacekeeper's healing (just 2 or 4 healing can swing a game). Lastly, Darksaber is just too powerful not to include. Opponents that don't deal with it within a turn will usually lose. Like you said, they can play around it, but we can anticipate this. I don't play it if I predict an immediate answer. I love having so many options for the flip turn, and I also built my deck to not rely on the Darksaber. Anyways, keep up the great content!
Congrats on the wins! I think I have 3x Sundari Peacekeeper in the sideboard of mine and I think it's a great option for aggro mirrors. 2x Darksaber seems like a reasonable idea and I might have to test that.
i think the red deck wants some number of heroic resolve. also really not a fan of the y-wing, i think that card's just bad
Heroic Resolve is an interesting one for sure, I might end up including that -- I also intend to test the Mercenary Gunship in place of the Y-Wing but generally like having more space threats available, plus the Y-Wing works with Rebel synergy...

I've played a lot with Sabine Green and Timely Intervention has been a hit for me. I had several games when I had to use the ECL on an early threat and ability to ambush Wrecker and Poe later in the game just for 1 resource was a big hit for me (or using smuggle which is also good when I get Timely Intervention in opening hand). I disliked medal ceremony, as in most of my games I could only buff one unit because other units were dying. I am thinking of changing a deck a little bit changing Medal Ceremony to Timely Interventions - I know it makes For a Cause I Believe In slightly worse, but I think the tradeoff is really worth it. I've been thinking also on playing Ketsu Onyo instead of Sabine Wren, as Saboteur and killing off small upgrades (as well as shield) seems to be more impactful in the current meta. Let me know what do you think!
