I traded a TRD Sport for a 2020 TRD Pro and the experience is night and day different. The pro not only has a more comfortable ride on the hwy, but it also takes me on way more trails than the Sport could for my kayak/fishing trips. The $51k price tag is definitely up there though and isn't for everyone. I picked up mine for $47k new from the dealer in Nov of 2019. All of that said, if you are interested in "heavy" trail riding, you'd be better off with a TRD Off-Road model and upgrading the suspension yourself to something like Kings or Icons.

The accords are quick. I really like the 2.0T. I think they are a k series. The accord has a faster 0-60 by like 3 seconds but I don’t think they are setup as well for cornering. A true head to head across different race styles would be interesting.

Over the years, their performance car options have been dismal. The Supra (now with a manual option), the GR86, and GR Corolla are their sports car platforms. I see the Camry TRD as a practical car for someone that also likes to have something sporty. The other options aren’t as practical in my opinion.

  • @mrz1281

@@michaelgoodrichatberglundt9670 the supra isnt toyotas either so cant call it their hard work. the gr86 is just a 2 door corolla. the gr will be ev soon enough and no wants to pay 50k for a corolla unless you got rocks in your head.

  • @michaelgoodrichatberglundt9670

@@mrz1281 I don’t disagree with where you’re coming from. The GR86 is still partnered with subraru BRZ. Both rather different than a Corolla since rwd and boxer engine. The GR Corolla would be impressive if some hybrid tech from the Corolla cross hybrid was used. The Supra did share some BMW inspiration but I don’t think that’s a bad thing. It would be cool to see the mr2 or celica gt-four make a come back. I appreciate your input!
