    Oh, sorry, I realise now you're referring specifically to Instagram Live Producer. Unfortunately that lag is definitely Instagram's problem and as far as I know they've not been able to fix it. If you want to avoid all lag, you can still go live via a phone. But if you want to use Live Producer, I kind of recommend building some visual queues into your presentation so the minute you actually see your first scene in Instagram Live producer preview, you know you're good to start. And again, have some sort of end screen sequence so you know when it's safe to finish streaming. This really isn't a problem with other video destinations. Hopefully Instagram can be fix it eventually.

    Well I need the part were you show how to get the text from capions docked window onto my video. You kinda skipped over that because you already had it on so I'm stuck at this step. I don't have anyting in the dropdown for Caption Settings/Open Captions/Text Source so I can't select the Text (GDI) plugin that you named Captions.

    Why not start with a general video about Ecamm first and see how it does without buying the Laptop, speak about the community, founders, and features, all can be shown via screen share of the website, groups and pics, or even clips from eCamm KZread channel. Make sure you have Ecamm at the start of the Title: Ecamm Review | What is Ecamm? Following week Ecamm vs OBS Try this for 2 weeks, and no one cares that you don't have experience using Ecamm, play on the topic, Should I buy a Mac for Ecamm etc.

    Mine jumps about and it looks like the font size changes and sometimes it skips back to previous lines, this seems to happen when it reaches the end of the bounding box, is it an issue in itself or is there a setting that I'm missing?

  • @LearnLivestreaming
    @LearnLivestreaming2 ай бұрын

    It's likely a combination of font size (and maybe alignment) and bounding box type. I haven't really experimented with all of the bounding box options yet. It might be worthwhile just trying them out and seeing if that helps.

    Hi John, Thank you so much for taking the time in answering my question and making a video! Outstanding work!! This helped a lot on the OBS side. The only issue that I'm still having is when I use the Virtual Camera during a Zoom Meeting, even though the transitions now change perfectly within OBS, they don't update or change on the the Zoom meeting side. The only thing that I can get to change in while projecting in Zoom is turning on and off the Sources within the one scene that Zoom is locked on to. This defeats the whole purpose of using the virtual camera to some extent. Unless its just a Zoom issue and I should use a different meeting software??

  • @LearnLivestreaming
    @LearnLivestreaming3 ай бұрын

    Hi Gregg. That is definitely odd. I don't use Zoom a lot, but I did just download it to try it out with the Virtual Camera and it does appear to be showing my changes when I switch scenes. I'll talk to some people who use Zoom more often than I do, but in the interim a few things to check: 1. Make sure your Zoom client is up to date. (It looks like version 6.0.4 is current for Windows.) 2. Make sure the camera you've selected is OBS Virtual Camera in Zoom settings. 3. Make sure you haven't added any Backgrounds and effects from the Zoom settings (this could cause some issues). But I guess the other thing is can you try with another piece of software to see if you get the same results? At least that way you might be able to establish if it's a Zoom problem or not.

    Hi John, Great Videos they are such a big help!! Quick question, If I set up 2 scenes consisting of 2 separate Virtual Camera scenes but using the same camera, why can't I select them separately so that I can Transition between them? Is there a way to do this. I was trying to use the same camera but while in Studio Mode select what I wanted and then transition it into the Program mode.

    Hi. When you add the Video Capture Device to the second scene are you selecting "Add Existing" and the selecting the same source from the first scene?

  • @greggchilders3279
    @greggchilders32793 ай бұрын

    @@LearnLivestreaming HI John, Thanks for the response. I have set it up both ways. I set up actually 4 different Virtual Scenes. 2 with adding the virtual capture device as new and 2 with adding it as existing. When connected to zoom the transitions don't work. The only thing I can do is turn on and off the Sources within the one Virtual scene that is transmitting to Zoom.

  • @LearnLivestreaming
    @LearnLivestreaming3 ай бұрын

    @@greggchilders3279 I really think you should only be using a single Source per camera. You can add that same source to multiple scenes (and adjust where it is inside that scene), though multiple sources all trying to access the same device feels problematic. That said, if you can upload a video or some screenshots somewhere, I can have a look.
