  Lip reading was one of the first things that really helped me navigate hearing loss. Honestly take it slow and give yourself grace

  Bow valley campground is right along the bow river (there are sites that face the water as well) and is close to Calgary It’s very beginner camp friendly campground

  I was 22 when I had SSHL. I developed a Staph infection and was given calculated dosages of medication. Unfortunately the after effects were possible hearing loss. I woke up on New Year’s Day with vertigo and a headache. I was given steroid injections and remember crying my eyes out as the ENT specialist told me there was nothing they could do to regain my hearing. It has been quite challenging being in loud places but I look back on how I managed to grow and adapt. It’s comforting hearing your story. Thank you for sharing!
