  All these up close photo/video shots are purposely done to make these snakes look much bigger than what they really are. The Discovery Channel does this type of shyt all the time. Why?...because that's what sells...$$$$$$. Remember that. They also lie about the size, length and weight of the animal, be it snake, shark or whatever. Sensationalism! Don't be deceived by these manipulators. Their focus is to make money #1. BIG whatever sells! Did they have a tape measure and actually accurately measure these snakes?..which is impossible unless the snakes are dead. You'll never get a accurate measurement completely stretched out, because the snake never will be completely stretched out. Also, did they have a scale in which they put the snake in a sack and then put on a scale?... I highly doubt it. Another trick photography trick is to put whatever you want to make look bigger in between you and in front of you and the camera. People do this all the time with rattlesnake photos to make them look much bigger than what they really are. Are there huge anacondas? Yes, but the bigger they are the rarer they are.

  A step-back and take-a-good-photo approach is NOT going to really show the immensity of these animals. Been there, done that (and fortunately, survived!). I never realized how ENORMOUS they are until I saw them up close! And the anacondas may be giant, but I've ALSO seen 15-foot Burmese Pythons in Florida, and a simple photo doesn't at all communicate their FRIGHTFUL enormity!

  In general, an adult human is too big to be worth taking. Their favorite snack is a capybara - which generally are under 60 kg (132 lbs.). BIG, but not as big as people, and they DON'T fight back! Rarely known is that they only eat a couple times a year .... it takes a LONG time to digest a meal that large. PLUS, they may be cold-blooded but the environment is constantly VERY warm. SO, all energy (food) consumed goes to (a) moving, (b) growing, and (c) making more anacondas.
