  If you tell a Vulcan how awesome you think his music is and that you positively can't get enough of it, he'll be momentarily flattered and then you can ask him to spot you some weed money and he won't even get offended at the imposition. And he'll remember how nice you were later on, if he should find the occasion to rescue you from a poisonous planet, and he won't even give you a hard time that you beamed down there without permission
