    Looks exactly like my Mariner outboard from the same time. Any idea w here to find a manual or part list? I guess Mariner was made by Yamaha.

    I paid $200 for mine. The ones I've seen on marketplace usually range from 200 to 400.

    Old outboard motors have brass bearing races . They need more oil in the mix use original mix rate.

    I love old chrysler outboard! I had 8hp with Tecumseh built motor (Canadian). That motor was a gem, it would start on third or second pull after 8 months of Alberta winter. Ran great, light, no fuss no problem motor. I wish I still had it.

    Sierra makes replacement water pumps, and fuel pumps. Condensers are still available. Idk about head gaskets, but there should be some on eBay

    Where did you find the fitting to connect the fuel line to the motor I’ve looked all over and can’t find the right one

  • @tylerott9269
    @tylerott9269Ай бұрын

    It’s a small Mercury fitting which is the same as a Scott Atwater/ McCullough fitting. On this motor I just ran a longer hose out the front with a normal Mercury fitting on it

    I’ve had the Evinrude 6 growing up. Used it as backup and for bully netting. 1967-68. I have a 70 Johnson 6 now. Still runs good. 50:1 mix. I miss the days when OMC and Kiekhaefer Mercurys ruled the American waterways. All you ever saw, except for an occasional Chrysler.
