Can you explain how your predicted grades worked? I am in a similar situation but with medicine, and I am thinking of resitting next summer my alevels. Apparently a lot of med unis don't like resits, and they treat you more unfairly compared to other applicants. If I apply with terrible a-level grades, but great predicted grades, do you think I still have a chance? Same goes to dentistry. Otherwise, there's no point in me doing UCAT this year

Hi there! This might be a dumb question, but I have adjusted our Canon r6 Mark ii camera to these exact settings and the ISO seems to be too low for our camera to capture anything. When viewing through either the viewfinder or the screen, everything is extremely dark, to the point I can barely see anything at all, even when pointing at a bright light. We have the exact same lens/twin flash that you had recommended. Thanks in advance for any help!
If it's too dark when trying to take the photo when looking through the viewfinder or the screen I recommend you turn off "live view display". On the back of the camera, you should find a button with a camera icon and a small red dot. This is the Live View button. Press it to turn off live view. Let me know if that helps 👌🏼

I’ve noticed black triangles after having Invisalign. Is this normal ?
Black triangles can appear after Invisalign for multiple reasons. This can be because of: - the shape of the teeth - recession of the gums - use of interdental brushes - gum disease + many other reasons I recommend you speak to your Invisalign dentist to try to find the reason and see if there is anything you can do to correct it 👌🏼

I have the sony a6400+ sony 90mm lens I have the issue of unsharpness in manual focus with cavity preparations posteriorly although enabling the focus peaking settings...any help?
Sometimes this can happen. You need to get used to using manual focus. It may be that you need to get a tiny bit closer or further away so the camera focus on the cavity preparation rather than the gums or the tip of the tooth. Also make sure that you're shooting at F22. Sometimes it's also helpful to take the photo at a bit closer to 1:3 magnification ratio as you will be further out and have a bigger depth of focus 👌🏼

How do these compare to Bryant Dentals refractive loupes?
We haven't tried the Bryant refractive loupes but these loupes are very different as you can see in the video. They have multiple magnifications and this is not something you can have with refractive loupes 🙌🏼

Do you need antibiotics after an infected tooth extraction no abscess or will the body clear it out naturally?
In most cases the body will clear it out naturally. If the dentist sees it is recommended for antibiotics they will prescribe it 🙂 but it's case by case

No you don't need to sterilise it, any PTFE or teflon tape is okay 👌🏼

my work place is using a stock Sony camera, meaning no ring or twin flash. its just the default flash at the top of the camera. Do i just continue applying the same flash settings?
Unfortunately the flash on top of the camera is not good enough and I recommend you purchase a ring flash or twin flash with a macro lens 🙏🏼
how do you like your sony for dental videos?
We love our Sony cameras for videography! They are great when attached to a microscope for filming and can also be used to attach to a tripod/C-stand to put over the patients head and record videos 👌🏼 keep in mind you will definitely need some good lighting to help with videos

@1:50 You say 1.3 magnification here. That's actually 1.3 feet away from the subject. Since the lens on screen is a good macro lens (1:1 magnification with this lens). It's very confusing when you say 1.3 magnification level in the video when in reality you are saying 1.3 feet away from the subject and you focus using your movement of the lens and camera to your subject.

Are these really better than a Canon MR14-EX mk II???
The canon ring flash is an amazing flash. I would argue that for the price the Godox ring flash is better value for money
@@TwoDentists I can totally see your point...vfm is important...prices of the MR14XEX [Mk i or mkii] are steep. Mk are typically £275-£300 and Mkii are £550-£600. IMO the difference between the MKi and MKii are not worth the money. In DLSR you very quickly get into the law of diminishing returns...ie the first £300 you spend on a flash/prime lens provides the biggest leap in quality you will ever see [like 50% jump]...after that you'll be spending £thousands to get a 5% jump...
Hi, looking at my first dental camera setup, Looking at the Sony 90mm macro lens and the Godox ring flash shown in your video. I am deciding between the a6400 and a7c, which would you recommend for a novice? price difference is around £350
If you don't mind the extra cost the A7c is a better option in my opinion as you get a full frame sensor with more autofocus points, and it's still relatively compact compared to some other full frame cameras. let me know how you get on 👌🏼

Wouldn’t the tx for Carie’s on LR6 be RCT +\- cuspal coverage??
If the caries has gone to pulp and the tooth has irreversible pulpitis or pulp necrosis then definitely RCT + Cuspal coverage. The dentine caries on the image illustration looks very close to pulp but it should have just been in dentine 😅

I’ve just bought the Godox MF- R76 (non-dental specific) to use with a6000 and Samyang 100mm macro lens. I’ve unfortunately found that the modelling light is just too dim to illuminate things enough to be able to see the teeth in both viewfinder and on the display, even at full power. When the flash fires, the pictures come out fine but this defeats the purpose of being able to use focus peaking. Is this something you have found with this version? Any ideas on what I might be doing wrong/ideas on how to counteract this? Thanks!
Try turning the "live view display" setting to OFF. Let me know that helps 👌🏼
