As you get used to a shorter bass this sounds really good. I have been forced to play a lot on a Steinway 45 upright and now when I hear a much longer bass it can even sound flabby or lacking control to my ears.
The Spinet models are fine for what they are. When they were new, they were a great budget space saving piano. I think what everyone is trying to say is that they are not worth the time and money it would take to refurbish one if you had to hire a tech to do the work. On the other hand, if you can do the work yourself then it would be worth picking one up because you can get them at no cost to a reasonable price. They put out great sound for a compact unit but the way there were designed cost more man hours to restore and tune. Therefore, they are not a good fit for anyone who buys these units for resale. When it comes to turning a profit an an older piece you must be able to refurbish it at a reasonable cost or there will be no profit in it.
Happy to say I purchased this piano!
If it's a spinet then it's garbage. I only interested in uprights that have stickers. Because the others the soundboard is too small. 73
Spinets are small pianos that sound like small pianos, but at least before the decent digital piano were the only thing that could be placed in some restricted areas, like walk up apartments. I was able to get some resonance from a Grinnell Bros spinet by placing it end to end with a hallway in an apartment. The amount of space for resonance was about five times as much as what appears in this demo. Not all Baldwin pianos carrying the Acrosonic name were spinets. Some were taller uprights that used sticker mechanisms.
Ооо,блюз!
Awesome. What's the name of this song?
Wonderful, terrific playing. Thank you!
Name of song please!.
Using the supposed feature with the "Voice Search" on my Samsung cell phone, which tells the user to "Search a Song," I got nonsense answers, none of which remotely resembled the piece played on this KZread commercial for New Hallet (Their misspelling, not mine) Davis 48" Upright Piano. Therefore no name possibly exists for this piece of music, OR the red haired buzz cut, piano playing sales guy made it up on the spot. Unfortunately, there is other explanation. Damn.
magical.
Hi, thanks for the video a few questions plz 1. How about the keys plastic noice after some time of use? 2. Is it as good as Yamaha P45 or even better? 3. Are keys fully weighted?
I bought a Kawai GS-70 in 2005 from Bob. I am very impressed by the price and quality you've offered. My piano never disappoints me and my childern. Thank you Bob! So glad to see your business is going through the 3rd generations. Blessings!
Song name please?
Beautiful playing.
I own and play my beautiful M&H 7' BB grand piano and chose it over Steinway since I tried both pianos at the music store. I am thrilled with the sound and quality of the M&H pianos.
Hi sir. I have one this model. Can you follow me. What is a stemate price. A my is the eyer 1857.
I grew up playing a beautiful Baldwin spinet. "Back when Baldwin was Baldwin." So sad.
If you’re gonna play like that at least put on a tuxedo 👍
Sounded like a little kid pounding on the keys, to me.
Sounds like a church piano
Is this bad ?
Cruella Deville! 😂
Still has that fabulous Baldwin sound !! Excellent piano!
I hope you're using a damp chaser out there in the mid west.
which strings do you use for piano?
My church has this model Kawai. Was curious to see what I could find on KZread regarding it. Sounds lovely, hope if found it's forever home!
a PERFECT piano for the smaller home.. has a wonderful sound for its size!
I have a Pecan Acrosonic console made the year I graduated high school- 1973. What a wonderful sound it produces!p
He said upright which is technically correct as it is a vertical piano. Spinet would be a clearer way to describe it as it does have a drop action.
Not too many pianophiles here I had to find a critical word for a piano sound person. People just don't know a good sound from a solid piano. I guess it's good enough to practice on. . 73
Beautiful song to demonstrate the power of this mason and Hamlin
I'm 10+ years in China and pretty familiar with the piano scene. These hailun are a household name here and a well respected high end piano. You see them in music conservatories , concert halls etc You can't go wrong with this piano. They are 20% cheaper here but still it's phenomenal value for money even if the buyer is overseas. I was taken aback when I saw these and compared to kawai /Yamaha. The easily match their high end range The 161 is a fine buy too but if you can fit and afford the 178 I'd go for that.
Oh my gosh ! I can't believe it, that's me and my sister. Wow. That takes me back, way back. Lol
FUCK YEAHHHH GREGGGG!!!!!!!
It's actually a spinet not so much an upright
Had no idea Elmer Fudd could play the piano!! Great job E.F. !
My grandma bought a Wurlitzer spinnet piano for my mom back in the 50s. We still have it. It's in great shape, with the exception of a ring from a coffee cup that I rested on it for 10 secs. I was passing by it and the cup was too hot to hold. I should have dropped it and dealt with the spill. Oh well.
bought two pianos for Bob. 28 and 27 yrs. ago! Glad to see he's still there!
Is this Instrument still available?
🥰🥰🥰
Nordiska 152
“I’m going to let you hear how it sounds.” *proceeds to play it like a total badass* 👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼
I'm not a fan of Renner actions. They fit Boesendorfors because they are a bit "subdued".
Glorious.
Would this be a good 1st piano for and adult learner? I’m about 18 months into learning piano
This dude plays as well as any black gospel player and has soul to boot. Great styling !
Liked.... video, piano and the song....would you mind to let me know the name the song please.
I just bought this model from a goodwill for only 200 bucks !! It's my first acoustic piano and I'm sooo excited. I'm having a tech come inspect it to make sure it's okay and will hold a tune alright though. I inspected the keys strings and hammers and played on it and it all sounds and looks great to me but professional tuners would maybe catch something if I missed anything. I've always dreamed of having my own piano after moving out of my parents house where I would play theirs and now 8 years later its happening finally. The sound on this Baldwin is so lovely !!
That's wonderful. What a terrific find! I'm currently looking for one myself. It was very smart of you to get a tech to inspect it first. I hope your Baldwin has brought you much joy this past year!
Dude no way! Same story here got from goodwill today
@@emiliogonzalez5646how much does it weight
Fantastic sound. We have one just like this. What is the song you are playing? Love it
I just got 1949 Baldwin L. The keyboard is not as perfect and need to be from outside. Need also some minor job on voicing. I paid only $4,200. The piano sound like a best Steinway! What a pleasure!!!
I just played an Essex at a Steinway Gallery, amongst all the 165+ K pianos and down to the 3K pianos. It literally touched my heart and rang within my soul. This only the 18K version (sory sales guys), and every single piano was different in the gallery. This thing was amazing in touch and yes i put my head inside and felt the vibrations of the spruce soundboard. It was soul uplifting.
I just got one for free from a guy by my dads shop and after a good tune up it’ll be a great piece
Sound amazing. Lovely sound
How much does a piano like this sell for? How tall is this piano? I'd like to get a 52-in Baldwin piano that was made here in the states.
I believe it’s a 43 inch Baldwin Hamilton. You would be looking for the Baldwin Model 6000. They are very hard to find as most people who have them keep them.
