How was the road condition to Twin Lakes Trailhead? Doing a hunting trip there this fall and have a 23 GMC At4 1500. For sure not going over the pass in that but i have heard to twin lakes is doable. Thanks!
@gascanFILMSАй бұрын
It’s a narrow single lane road, not many places to pull off if there’s oncoming traffic but doable in truck. A local 4wd club out of Crested Butte would give you a better idea of the current road conditions.

That trail must have been easier back in the late 80’s because I did it in a stock Grand Cherokee we had just bought. AC had crapped out on us and it was mid June, hotter than blazes, and we thought we were taking a shortcut from needles area back to Moab. Last year I thought I would relive that experience going down from Moab, but where the trail got real narrow ( about where your white jeep’s door flew open) sanity prevailed and I turned around. I have no idea how we could have done that trail so long ago, with no lift and Goodyear Eagle street tires. The scenery was as awesome then as it is now. Thanks for the video.

Finally a video with coordinates! AWESOME! I’m going on the trail in May 2023 and I’m concerned about the trees & brush scratching our trucks. The trail looks very narrow especially on the UT side. We’ll have a Raptor and a modified F-150, is the trail wide enough? The area of concern is between coordinates: 38.35811, -109.31901 and 38.40989, -108.93364. Thank you!
@gascanFILMS Жыл бұрын
I think it's wide enough for full size pickups, but you should do a search to see if any truck has done it, to be absolutely certain. There are some narrow bushy sections on the UT side, that might scratch a side. Yes, the CO side is much wider.
