  You need to understand what a dirty hit vs a big hit is. Any shoulder to shoulder hit is fine. It might be late and therefore an interference penalty, but that's not dirty. dirty hits are to the head, are blindside, boarding, or knee on knee. Only about half these hits are actually dirty.
