Jane was one of those sincere people done wrong by their family and other adult. She was like 15 and asked to be queen which she clearly said wasn't her right. Used by her parents and others to gain power including her husbands family....yeah she had no say in that marriage either. She refused to be the coy puppet and didn't crown him. Later she bowed to Mary I but refused to deny the one thing in her life she held most dear her faith. Weather right or wrong I admire she held her ground on the one thing she could knowing it would mean her death. She should be greatly admired instead of forgotten. She was actually really a badass lady and might have made a good queen free of the adults who tried to use her.

I feel so sorry for Lady Jane. She’s was badly abused by her parents, forced to marry a man she didn’t love, forced into the role of Queen ship so her husband would be able to rule (although his father would’ve held the reins of power), was overthrown by the rightful queen and then condemned to die (after being spared) because of her own father’s stupid decisions. And she was just a teen when this happened.

Though she was the rightful heir to the throne, she was usurped by Mary, wrongly convicted of high treason and beheaded…all at the tender age of seventeen.

here in 2024, I was on Instagram and came across this painting of her. I remember seeing this exact video of her as a child and it haunted me. po imagine being her nursemaid... who had to bear witness to a child she delivered and raised since birth !!! Truly haunting.
