    Hi, when you did this job the engine idle smooth after? I ask because I have seen videos where the oil sump must be removed to adjust the balancing shafts to have a smooth idling. Thanks

    @@dominichernandez8087 hey hey Dominic, I also saw that the balancing shafts of the oil sump need to be in sync as well but luckly mine works fine. I intend anyways to rebuild the engine completly soon, therefore I prefered to jump that step and see what's happening. So far so good

    @@thecurlyfixingguy7077Thanks for your answer. I have another question, when applying torque to the crankshaft bolt, did you have the locking pin inserted? I ask because I have read that it cannot resist much torque or it will break. Thanks again!

    @@dominichernandez8087 yes sir, otherwise you'll rotate your crankshaft. Basically I let the blocking pin inserted from begging all the way till the end before I did the final 2 complete rotations and made sure it goes back in its place easily, this way confirming the alignment of the timing

    @@thecurlyfixingguy7077 Thanks for your answer! I would like to ask you something about fuel efficiency (If you happen to know), I have already replaced spark plugs (NGK), replaced the air filter, cleaned fuel injectors, cleaned MAF sensor and I'm getting about 6km/L, my car is a 320i and there is definitely something failing. I also don't have oxygen sensor related errors to believe something is wrong with them. Would you know if there is something else I would have to check?

    @@dominichernandez8087 oooououou, 6km/L that would be aprox 16 L/100km... That's huge, I have 10km/L and mine is a 1.8. what about the engine power? Is all ok when hitting that throttle pedal? I only have in mind the fuel filter (that you didn't mentioned replacing). Other than that I would recommend a diagnosis for deeper look into cars performance :-? But let us know if the fuel filter was the issue (but this would affect dramatically the performance of the car)

    Hello, if the coolant level is ok and you don't have air in the cooling system, I would first check engine oil level and age (how old is the oil) & make sure the oil pump works properly; then I would think about running too lean mixture (too much air thru the carburetor) but this should also influence the engine behavior when running it - this can be checked by looking at your spark plug color ( A spark plug that is running too lean will have a light tan or grayish color). Hmmm, my brain at 6:46 am stops here. Let me know if any of the suggestions helped and if not, let's find out somehow together. Keeping my fingers crossed for you

Totuși, uleiul folosit în video a fost comandat pe baza talonului (VIN) de la dealer de piese deci nu mă aștept să fie probleme cu el. Did you feel the difference in the quality drive ?

  • @thecurlyfixingguy7077
    @thecurlyfixingguy70773 ай бұрын

    Hello. Actually not really. I've replaced it because I bought a second hand wheel hub and the bearing was rusty so it was mandatory to change it. But to diagnose a "broken"/tired wheel bearing, you should hear a whizzing sound when you turn to the oposite direction of the broken bearing wheel (if you turn right and you hear that whizzing sound, that means that either your front or back left bearing is bad - usually is obvious). There is also other diagnose method, like lifting the car and shake the wheel from upper to lower part and feel if there is any "play" while doing that. Let me know if this was helpful

    Hello to you both, you could use measuring callipers and try the sharp side of them to roughly measure the exterior and interior diameter (but this can only happen for the outter ones). For the interior ones, you'll need to either have the original code for the bushing (which is nearly impossible in case of chinese scooters) either you'll need to tear them appart and then measure them properly and wait for the new ones. We have a market în Timișoara Romania which has a chinese scooter parts store so I guess/hope you should be able to find one around you as well
