One of the greatest lyricists of all time ala Bob Dylan. Incredible live shows. I’ve been fortunate to see Bruce & the E Streeters 17 times. Backstreets is my all time favorite song. Saw them open with Backstreets in Tampa the year the Big Man left us. INCREDIBLE band all around.

I love Bruce’s lyrics across the board but Backstreets has some of my favorite lyrics of his. I mean the opening line: “one soft infested summer, me and Terry became friends, trying in vain to breathe the fire we were born in”. Incredible!! I love the way his lyrics have evolved over the years but I do have a fondness for the romanticism of Born to Run.

Took a friend from Wales to see him at the Rainbow, Finsbury Park, had a couple of beers and on the way home to the Palace got a pull in Trafalgar Square and took off into a roadblock right outside Cannon Row nick and arrested at gunpoint. Spent the night in the nick with my pal explaining that the henna he had bought for his misses was not contraband. He never seemed keen to come out to play with me again...happy days !! oh, Nils was great, bouncing all over the place. A hard gig to forget...

Always thought Nils was far more than a boost to Springsteen's E Street Band. Glad I got to see him starring with his own band and really showcasing what he can do.

This is such a seminal performance! That another song came from this and showed up in “The River,” (I won’t give it away.”), and then he brings it all around again. It blew my mind when I first heard it. Also, his voice is magnificent.

He used to play at a small venue in Leeds UK in the 70's, and saw him a couple of times there. He IS Sooo underrated, not only a great singer, guitarist and performer, but also as a Gymnast..... Seeing him play whilst doing a flip onto stage off a trampette was amazing.

Love Nils! Feel sorry for those that never listened to his music. A friend of mine turned me on to "Too Many Miles," "Keith Don't Go," and "Big Tears Fall," (about the kids that were killed in Sandy Hook mass shooting) ! He's the real deal, nobody like him. In my mid 60's.✌💥💫
