Boxsters are the best roadsters on the market in my opinion 😊 So many nice 996s and other models. Sing’s 911 looks so cool😮

I remember when you could pick up a 996 for $12k USD. I bought mine last year for $23k, because I figured it'd keep going up, and I should grab one while I could still afford it.

4 liter 718s are the best drivers cars Porsche makes today and some of the best of all time. They are the right size, the right weight, perfectly balanced, the right amount of power. 992s are just so big with too many screens and too much between the driver and the road. Incredible cars, no doubt, but huge and complex. Gears in the 718 could be shorter, yes…if you are looking for something to critique. But I don’t hear people complaint about the hearing of the 997 GT3, which also goes 80+ MPH in 2nd.

996's are insanely well designed cars with some flaws, but if you replace the ims bearing before it implodes your car its a very solid sports coupe.
The £5k boxster is still absolutely the best value sports car at any consideration. Boxster is always the answer!
Just got a 996.2 c4 auto. Have a manual hot hatch so wanted a cruiser. And was cheapest 911 entry point lol!

Mate, I love your channel and I’m a subscriber. But I struggle viewing because you’re not driving the cars. Maybe you do get to drive them later on in the vid but I’ve already switched off by then. Find owners that are happy for you drive their cars and make yourself the focal point of the vids, and the car of course, and you’ll get much more views. Just my view my friend.

Depends what kind off 911 😉 i also go from 991.1 Carrera S to the 981 GT4 but now the GT3 and don’t miss te GT4.
@@D.vanlente I had a 991.1 C4S PDK with Power kit. Great car but not as engaging as the GT4. I'm avoiding driving a GT3 for obvious reasons

I’ve just bought a set of 991 C4S wheels. I’ll pick them up next week and I’ll do a little video on fitting them with spacers. Other than that no not really. Maybe change the head unit for apple wireless.
Very nice .. I’ve been looking a while for a manual 4s with aero but they don’t come up very often .. are the services each year as expensive as people say or not to bad . 😅

996’s are making a real comeback now. They’ve aged so, so well. You watch values starting to climb.
Some good info on here. Useful to be aware of windrow drop when iced up. Not mentioned was don't operate the roof when temperature is 10 Deg C or lower. Battery drain can be an issue if not regularly used. A Bosch AGM battery has cured that for me. Recommended at relatively low cost. Zunsport grills mentioned are definitely a good insurance to protect front condensers.

Guy with the battery problem needs one of those CTEK mobile devices. My battery was holding for only an hour or so and the CTEK thing was a life saver to get me to 9e. Takes about 15 minutes.

Lower mileage .1s are actually the ones you want to stay away from if you're afraid of IMS and bore scoring.

I love mine, I previously had a 964 C4 Cabriolet which was more raw and harder to drive but it’s a real,toss up between the 2 in my opinion. I also fitted cruise myself, quite easy to do. I genuinely love the headlights too.
