When the CMSGT called the new evaluations "rather exciting" he lost me. Evaluations are dreaded and nobody likes writing them. He's full of himself. "You know. you know".
As a municipal administrator, we attended a 2-day class on writing proper evaluations. This is for consistency which the USAF doesn't have.

Joined USAF as an SP, stationed in South Dakota. Saw Mount Rushmore about 5 times!!😆 BTW we responded to alarms on missile sites in Broncos, Blazers and sometime Peacekeepers (a piece of crap wrapped in armor on foam filled tires.) When you are a quarter of a mile of the site and have visual on it, you have an idea what could have set it off or better yet, what didn't set it off.

USAF BMT summer of 1971. Was AIC in charge of recruits for electronics tech school - Gulfport, MS. I was 24 years old, and a graduate engineer. Was told I would likely be an instructor after Tech School. Next day I was pulled out of ranks and the morning after flown back to Lackand as slick sleeve on a plane with all the others onboard officers. At Lackand spent a few days in Casual Squadron doing cleanup details. On about day 3 or 4 pulled out of ranks by the Msgt. In charge taken to his orderly room where he locked the door and told me I was getting a direct duty assignment for a Vietnam tour. He also told me I would NOT be in South Vietnam, but I could not tell anyone that. A few weeks later I got off the C-141 at Nakon Phenom Royal Thai AFB. My AFSC. Was 99127, but nobody told me what I would be doing or anything. Over the next couple of days I learned that I was assigned to Task Force Alpha and that I had two weeks shadowing the man I was replacing. Our mission was to interdict NVA troops and trucks coming down the Ho Chi Minh trail in Laos. Just over the Mekong river from where we were. The year I spent there was the second best thing I ever did in my life..first was marrying my late wife. I am now 77 years old and what I learned there and over the next three years completely changed me and my life and made me a much better person.

And what is this with all of these fat people. The woman at 4:00 has got to be at least 40 lbs. overweight. Other fat guys also appear in this film. You won't see the Chinese Army with 40+lb. overweight soldiers. We are building an Army of soldiers, aren't we? Please tell me that Commanders actually care about the physical fitness of all branches of service. When we have a SHTF and we need all hands-on deck (9/11), there's no time to stop and carry or drag an out-of-shape soldier to their post.
As long as the change is not determined by DEI or lowering standards to address a lazy society. As long as women are not allowed to be put in positions that require top physical readiness or a position which historically has proven to need a man. Lives are on the line. This BS that women keep pushing about their ability to do anything a man can do is COMPLETE CRAZINESS. This isn't a backyard child's game. This is life and death. Just because a woman can jump out of a plane, run a couple of miles, or shoot a machine gun for one minute, in no way qualifies her to be anywhere near a war zone. So, stop pretending that they should be entitled to be included in the same physical training as men. As long as people are only advancing based on their skills and nothing else, then there is nothing wrong with organizational changes. America is dangerously close to losing the ability to properly defend our domestic issues and our positions around the world at the same time. We need to pull as many soldiers back home as we can and regroup, before we are stretched too thin and have incompetent people in the field.
