    Politics isn't the problem. The problem is ANY outlet whereby people express their opinions. People are being allowed, by a sick and twisted society of apps, to forget the very fabric of what opinion is. It's a 'love vs opinion' thing. Less of one means more of the other. You could also say it's a 'self love vs loving others' thing. In the end, if you find yourself spewing your opinions on ANY subject, then it's going to be deemed "political". Just do your thing with the repair work. You're really good at it, and we're all here to see it. We all know that the situation in governance today lies in the shortcomings of humans themselves. The shortcoming stems from a lack of love for others and too much love for self. Well, never complain about something without offering a simple solution. My solution to this problem: Stop every morning and at any point throughout the day and just remember that we all have a lower self, and a higher Self. And that we all differ in the lower self, but that we all are the same in the higher Self. While you go thru your day, try to focus on the higher Self in you and others. Have respect for that higher Self. Have Love for that higher Self.

    You CAN win with political conversations, you just have to talk about politics in a reasonable way. Meaning, you can talk about politics but you have to talk about how to improve it, instead of taking sides at all. Here's an example: Politics and the entire judicial system, in the future, is comprised completely of ONE computer that runs off of a "human bio-chip". The chip uses a specific mass of human brain cells that manage it's ability to process, yet the mechanical-computer aspect of it keeps any human desires at bay. This way, we all get a nice even and balanced legal system that leaves corruption out completely.

    Another trick is to put a 10 in knife under the basboard where there is carpet and paint to it.👍

    I am using regular frog tape on the primer and after painting I let it dry out for a day. But still it’s peeling off the drywall itself. Not just the paint, the brown drywall is peeling off. Please help!

    Given that the piece of drywall that you inserted is smaller than the hole, doesn't that mean that there is part of it either side where if pressed, it will tear through?

    It's honestly best to just stay out of politics all together these days. I've seen friends and family alike do nothing but get their blood pressure up arguing over crap. Thanks for keeping it wholesome and informative. A rare feat these days. PS: What we really wanna know is: stainless steel or carbon steel when it comes to blades?

  • @vancouvercarpenter
    @vancouvercarpenter9 сағат бұрын

    Stainless! But only because I can't stand rusty knives. Carbon feels better.

    Can you do something like this on just a carpeted floor? And if so how do you make sure that the tarps you're using don't move around too much?

  • @vancouvercarpenter
    @vancouvercarpenter12 сағат бұрын

    Yes this is exactly what I do for carpets. Just make sure the drop sheet overlaps the tape. I don’t try to make sure every drop sheet is perfectly overlapped all the time. They always move around. Just the wall I’m working on needs to be overlapped properly.

    Thank you so so much. No one has ever answered this question for me. I'm guessing a roofing hatchet works much the same way with wood shingles. I once was working on a family members house from the 40's or 50's and I noticed their dry wall came in 2'x8' sheets when originally installed. That made so much sense because one person would have an easier time installing that sheet vs a 4x8 sheet produced today.

    Eternally grateful for this video getting recommended to me today. Just about done with mudding the drywall in my garage and am about to move onto the finish carpentry. Had to bring everything up to code so went with 5/8” drywall. Have a nasty gap around a door jamb and was going to try to make the extensions flush with the existing jamb. This technique will save me SO much hassle in the short and long term. Thank you!!!

    Most excellent! I'll see if it works on planks further out from the wall. I'm afraid they may all start to separate and I have to do it all the way to the wall. Your thoughts?
