    Give the apprentice the rad tail Allen keys, make them work. With the olive cutters I’d say teach them with a junior hacksaw first so olive cutters later on

    Nice video thanx, Tools have certainly got better since I was a plumber 35 years ago!!! Lol... As an apprentice I had, small/large Footprint grips, junior and large hacksaw, tape measure, mini level, 15mm/22mm pipe bending springs, small hammer (claw), small jimmy/crowbar, some basic screwdrivers (flat and philips), a Rothenberger basin wrench, an old cigarette tin full of washers, olives, etc, all held in a large canvas bag. Also had a full set of drain rods and a plunger! I'm surprised no-one seems to use Footprint grips anymore, in my day every plumber had them? Cheers

    You do still need the hot, it’ll only do boiling, the low pressure hot wouldn’t affect the quooker as it’s cold mains that fills it then it’s boiled

  • @liamtheplumber
    @liamtheplumber4 ай бұрын

    All quookers require a minimum pressure in order to operate. This house has mains cold but gravity hot water. This the reason for the “combi” tank as it only requires the cold mains. A quooker tap will not work or function correctly with a gravity hot water. Therefore in this case the hot feed has been blanked off. Only the cold mains is connected and that’s what feeds the tap.

    Liam great work mate but i have a problem with mine i have had it for about 9 years it a 01 Basic handle tap you just push it down and turn, but now it leaks every time i turn it on and hot water and steam leaks allover my work top. I know its a seal or wash wanted but i can not see how the handle comes off ? now trying to get in touch with quooker is a nightmare ? I even tried to book a service on line but the time slot is the end of June 2024 by then one of us will end up getting burned. I have searched the web to find how to removed the handle because Quooker have not answered my emails and no susses from the internet any help would be much appreciated. Regards peter

    Rapid blue for the win 💯

  • @MJ-ce6tv
    @MJ-ce6tv5 ай бұрын

    This stuff is great and I use it on rad tails. I have been tempted to use it on taps but how easy are they to remove when they’re glued like this? I don’t know about anyone else but when I come to a dodgy outside tap, I simply unscrew and pop a brand new one on. This rapid blue could make that a bit of a challenge right? Maybe I’m wrong but I’d like to hear your thoughts. Thanks. Marcus.
