    I own this Hasselblad Sandkvist Messenger bag for many years. It was specially built for the X1D (X2D). It is compact and lightweight, and durable, I love it. The main drawback is that the velcro divider fastener in the insert. Hooks Velcro bands are on the insert shell and velcro smooth bands are on dividers, what exposes the plastic hooks of the unused velcros to the camera. These hooks scratched the rubber eyecup of my X1D and so I had to cover these hooks with some smooth velcro bands I added. I complained to Hasselblad and proposed that they solve the problem by simply attaching the hooks bands to the dividers and put the smooth velcro band to the shell. so that the camera will only be exposed zo smooth velcro. I hope they have modified it ?

    I think there are 3 words that people don't understand properly. They are professional, amateur, and commercial. A professional is an approach and way of dealing with people. Commercial photographers get paid for their photography. An amateur takes photographs of what they love or for the love of photography.. The quality of the image is independent of any of these. I've met many commercial photographers that take terrible meaningless photos. I've also met lots of amateurs that take great images.

    Nice Makeup und Prop-Idears (e.g. the butterfly). To me I would have preferred a classical beauty light without any shadows for this kind of pictures. Are you really ok with the hard light and strong, crisp shadows as can be seen at 7:14min for example? I have the impression that the white balance is not consistent among the shown pictures. However, I did not check picture by picture. Only an impression. I like the idea of the photos, however the face looks so distant and not-involved. This makes the photos unpersonal and feeling not-connected. The low shooting angle of ALL the pictured does not help here. Of course, it looks ridiculous shooting the "WAIST FINDER" of the Hassy CM500 standing on an apple box (=elevated standpoint), however I am pretty sure this would make the pictures feeling more connected. I liked the green paper background in the beginning of the video very much.

  • @ishkhanghazarian
    @ishkhanghazarian19 күн бұрын

    @@Gorro777 there are a ton of options out there these days. If you’re looking for a simple reflective meter this is an option. If you’re looking for an incident light meter I’d suggest the REVENI LABS INCIDENT METER, which I’ll be releasing a full review on soon. Of course many other manufacturers make light metres like Doomo Made which I also like and use along with Sekonic. If you narrow down your feature set wish list i think it might help you make a decision. (i.e. do you need usb-c charging or is micro usb okay or do you want user replaceable batteries (AA or AAA)? Do you need backlight illumination to use in low light or night? Do you need weather sealing for use in rainy environments?) These are just some questions i’d ask myself to help narrow down my options. Sorry if this wasn’t a straightforward answer but I think there are more questions left to help you better narrow down your choices.

    I used an F3 from 1982 until I went to digital in 2003. I loved that camera. Its weakest link was the flash sync speed of 1/80 which was usually too slow for fill flash outside with Tri-X (ISO 400). Had Nikon made an F3 with 1/250 sync (like in the FE2/FM2's and F4) then it would have been the perfect non AF camera of all time. I guess that the hot shoe position was also bad. It insured that either vertically or horizontally you'd get side shadow on the subject if you used direct flash, which to this day is a sign to me that an amateur took the shot! I used a Metz CT-1 and would hold it above the camera to avoid that problem. Still, a great camera.

    Tried it; hated it. WAAAY to fiddly and the lack of a lens makes it impossible to ACCURATELY determine what you are spot metering. Buy an old pentax/minolta, etc if you need a spotmeter that actually works as a SPOTmeter. Or, if you like a lot of additional (not, IMO necessary/usable) capability, a new Sekonic with spot capability.

    I have this flash and am using it with the X PRO II. The instructions in the manual for pairing with the flash controller didn’t work. After many hours of trying and going step by step doing exactly what was in the manual, I gave up and experimented with a manual setup. I have 2 other Godox flashes, so everything has to work together. I eventually got the Lux Master paired and then manually paired my other 2 flashes, so I have a 3 flash system. I am of the vintage where I grew up with potato mashers. The advantage with them is that they had quick connection to the bracket and you could disconnect just by pressing a button, or connect just by clipping it back on. Great video, it is great to see more Canadians on KZread.

    Okay, I am 2 videos in from this channel, and already, there are 2 things I need: the H-Mount cold shoe for my Hasselblad 503cx. I also need a flash. This one has the "right" aesthetics, I think to match the Nikon Zf. What do people here think? Would this flash and trigger look beautiful, as a complement to the Nikon Zf? That said, the Nikon Zf, is a walk-around camera, coupled with small lenses. Adding a flash might make it even less of a walk-around thing. Oh, decisions, decisions!

    hahah I love to hear that 🤭 I love the Lux Master, but if you’re already considering buying the Lux Cadet for your Hasselblad it can be used with both cameras and will be compact. That being said the Lux Master has the ability to be shot in full TTl with the Nikon Trigger attached to your ZF so that maybe something to consider if you’d like to use it that way. You also have the option to work with it off camera if you choose. Definitely lots to consider!!

So with the Fuji you need to actually need to change 2 settings in the menu. 1st go to the flash menu and turn off “Built In Flash” that will disable the cameras built in flash. The 2nd setting is under “Flash Function Settings” and make sure the sync terminal setting is set to “M”. Once that’s done you should be able to use any external flash.
