I'm just wondering why none of the best retirement lists never include the Philippines?
I was in Silves in february. I Loved the city and it was so quiet in the off season.
hi Cepee, really liked your video...its funny/coincidental because i was just walking the streets of your town(google wise) and now watching your video it turns out you are living there.. i will be moving to Malaga, Spain the 1st quarter of 2025 as a 74 year old American....always wanted to retire in Europe having traveled Europe several times centuries ago as a travel agent and finally now that i am retired....i'm gonna complete my biggest bucket list item. i was on Idealista and found -0- rentals in Pedregalejo so i am interested in figuring out how you found your place....i don't smoke/drink so hearing you give costs on thgings like food, eating out, public transportation, cell/internet, utilities gives me a lot of encouragement because for you and your partner--it seems that your costs for expenses you listed are for sure less than what i spend in southern New Mexico plus i wont have auto expenses, mortgage/home insurance/home upkeep expensives also. i hope i don't scare you but i think that on my income of $2500 monthly and severals pennies in savings... i should do allright. i am very happy for your journey....you followed your heart and i will also take my last exciting journey.... and i speak Tex/Mex Spanish!!!
So true especially in Athens, people choose islands.Koukaki is expensive in 2024.Airconditioners don’t burn much electricity when necessary in heatwaves.❤️👌🙏
Wow, I wish I got to experience what it would’ve been like growing up in Cololombia I was adopted into a family that was the total opposite of a traditional Colombian family
Unbelievable just got back from dollywood 2 burgers 2 fries 2 drinks 39.00 bucks I think I want the hell out
Loved your video, thank you so much for sharing. How did you become fluent in French? Did you learn before you left, take classes there, what worked for you?
Hi Patricia. Just discovered you and I envy that you've arrived at where you want to be and how you want to be....not easy ! I love France, we've been going there every summer for a month for many years. I live in the most westerly country in the European Union....a little rainy! I can get along in French in a limited way, I've been lazy but now I feel I want to attend to it seriously. Applying oneself on a regular basis seems to be the key, I have an old head, any tips.?
Question for anyone who has moved to central or South America: how did you move all your belongings? DHL? Sea freight?
Gotta say 499k is not considered affordable for most people. You might as well stay in the US for that price. Show some realistically affordable places, please.
Hi , I want rent my house in Golf Course ,if anyone interested ? please let me know.
How can u get a descent, furnished apartment in malaga, alicante, granada, seville, cordova for $400 a month?😮
nice personalities both. PV seems pretty good. so much to choose from re Mexico living.
Lagos is not far from us. I moved to Pêra with my family in 2021 from Scotland and we started a KZread channel last month all about food in the Algarve. If anyone is interested we really need the subscribers ;-)
Hi! When is the drawing for the winner?!
Enjoy Stop trying to make a profit, screw it up and the move on OPORTUNISTA.
I know Céret very well as I live near Perpignan however been Franco-American my rent is about 300 Euros a month (nearly the same in dollars) because I am French! The bridge at time stamp 8:42 is know as devil bridge that the bridge in the background cars are not on that bridge because it was built before cars, it is very old it not a safe bridge for cars! Céret is know for the many cherry farms near by!
Is lifetime Military disability payments considered pension?
I was in Costa Rica in August, on the Pacific Coast there was always a cool sea breeze, in San Jose and most places inland that are at higher elevations it was also cool, most people wear jackets even in August. I hear the Carribean side is humid like the Carribean which is why I didn't go there.
Real estate prices In Coronado and other areas on the west coast are overpriced . Market conditions have dropped considerably. Get a proper independent property evaluation if you are buying. Most sellers have made up prices for their properties.
After a couple of recent trips to Mexico City and other areas on the pacific coast, I was blown away by the food. The tradition, quality, and even value are exceptional (though in CDMX some areas lose that value). We ate at restaurants ranging from a street taco vendor that had been making tacos for over 40 years to a Michelin starred restaurant. So many great experiences. But what completely threw me off was the food in some touristy towns like Sayulita. I expected the quality and diversity of food to be compromised, but it was actually some of the best food I've eaten in Mexico. Just overall very impressed by how much the areas I've visited have kept their food authentic and regional and delicious. Maybe I'm cynical as an American- expecting restaurants to maximize profit and capitalize on tourism to the extent possible, but I didn't get that in reality. In short, any foodie should look at Mexico as a top destination. There is just so much to be discovered in the beautiful country.
Best is leaving on the beaches
Thanks for your generous comments. Not a country without trouble but safer than others around.
How much is the beach front property? I think that was the only one you did not give a price on? Beautiful area.
What’s the listing for the first house?
This was so lovely to watch. Listening to her feels like listening to a sweet friend. You can tell, that she is living proof of everything she has to say about her journey. I’m very happy for her, finding her dream lifestyle. Obviously it’s always a good choice to be honest with yourself and trust the process. ♥️
La Paz looks like a desert to me plus a lot of Mexicans have barking dogs that keep you up all night and day. We lived in Playa Del Carmen for 6 months and this drove us crazy. Most owners act like they can't hear the dogs barking and just sit there. This is very annoying. The infrastructure needs major improvement plus there are 2 prices, one for locals and one for tourists, this is absurd. I have my residency in Mexico so trust me when I say, you're being ripped off.
So the Pensionado Visa requirements of $1000 monthly income includes having a Social Security payment of at least 1k per month?
He is showing places in Cemetario, errr Centenario. To say that Centenerio is 10 minutes from the Malecon is just not true. Its 10 minutes from WalMart maybe - which is ATLEAST another 15 minutes to the Malecon. And the Malecon is where it is at. All the roads in Centenario are dirt and it covers everything, and it really isn't La Paz IMHO. It is a cloistered Am/Can area. There are Mexicans there, but not many and they often are serving the ExPats. We tend to not even bother getting to know folks that live there because of the distance (mostly). Also, every other ExPat and every 10 educated Mexican in La Paz is selling RE so you damn sure don't want to work with someone who i based in Cabo.
1st world city, jajajajaja
I visited Panama last December and would consider retiring there at some point to escape the cold Chicago winters.
Thank you for the information. You seem to be a bit too close to the camera, but otherwise, thank you for talking about prices and the food!😊
Stop!!!!!!!!
And that house is not worth 300,000! Again Americans taking advantage of people!!!
Stop pimping out Mexico!!! That’s all you American realtors do!!!
Are you still there? 6/16/2024
Is it pretty easy to travel the world with Panama as a home base
😂 not even close, hidden gem with 400,000 people and hardly anyone speaking English. I have been going here in my RV since 2021 and nothing is under $200k unless you are a local and live in the locals area. Yes the billionaires have yachts out in the harbor but they don’t go there often. Balandra is the most difficult beach to get to since they restrict access. Much better beaches and the winter water temps are 65-70.
The cost of living seems to be increasing every year, making it harder to keep up.
Indeed , it's becoming quite challenging to manage expenses.
I've actually managed to stay ahead of the curve. I'm even contemplating early retirement.
@@MelissaHobbs-qm8wi Impressive! How did you achieve that?
@@OliverLiam-px3vx Our family got introduced to a financial consultant”DESIREE RUTH HOFFMAN .” about four years before my dad retired. That was what changed things, and I think my retirement income will be on the right track, luxury cars and trips
Absolutely, DESIREE RUTH HOFFMAN has a knack for analyzing market trends and helping clients make informed decisions.
Can we do this application process from a foreign address, such as when we're already in the UK or EU traveling and living, then we decide to do a LT visa in France?
Clickbait title. The $138,000 home is a dump which, according to you, will cost an additional $200,000 to update. 👎👎👎
I have friends in La Paz and you are right, US$138K house is a dump. It will need fixing up. Also, cartel crime in La Paz has grown significantly the last 5 years which puts La Paz in top 10 dangerous Mexican cities to live. Thus housing prices have actually dropped as a result. Cabo San Lucas is also in the top 10 dangerous cities.. Tijuana competes the Baja Pensinsula 3 cities in Mexico's top 10 most dangerous. The manufacturing nearshoring to Mexico has it's economy booming thus higher inflation and a peso that has increased in value 30% against the USD. In other words, Mexican real real estate just cost 30% more for each USD. A lot of expats gringos living on just government pension are finding they can't make ends meet with just a pension versus 10 years ago. I have lived in Mexico 8 years now and are starting to witness expats returning north due to increased costs in Mexico. Rent, hosuing, food, clothing... healthcare has remained a bargain though. You are correct, this is clickbait video only thus I had to thumbs down.
He said $200,000 all-in multiple times in the video. That’s an addditional $62,000 to update.
Can you cover Mazatlan?? Very up and coming area as well. DRS Real Estate Investments LLC. Thx for sharing.
Thank you for this wonderful video! I was born in Panamà however grew up in NY. Went back to visit family in 2022 and I'm looking forward to returning for vacation towards the end of the year. Viva Panamà 🎉🇵🇦
Just be aware that there is a water shortage if you promoting a place also be honest and responsable.
Best yube video ever. thank you,
in mex . the locals even in towns or city …..keep chickens and roosters .they will wake you up at 3-4:00am every day
that is a complete misnomer! They do NOT wait until 3 AM to start and they do not STOP at 4AM. Where I am it more about barking dogs (fricken Chihuahuas) and Party venues that go till 2;30 am.
You won't hear them over the barking dogs in every yard.
might be ok since all the cartels are in US now
I just came across your video. Thank you for the information. It has crosses my mind to consider Panama as a retirement destination. I am many years away from retirement, but I believe it is would be wise to visit and see how I like it.
Nice city but not as safe as a few years ago
That's the problem in most of Mexico
Been going for years and haven’t noticed any uptick in crime
is there a lender that you work with that works with americans?
Haha yeah half down and 14% interest for foreign buyers and a 10 year max term
