    At full droop you will have contact either way correct? Longer coil or spacer will reduce the space between the UCA and coil bucket. I’m not denying coil lift is better than a spacer, I just don’t see how you avoid contact any less. Full droop is full droop

    Could you install a Titan upper control arm that way you get clearance for the strut spacers?

  • @AlldogsOffroadCoop
    @AlldogsOffroadCoop9 күн бұрын

    no, the titan arm is longer. also the titan arm has less clearance than a factory frontier/xterra arm. titan's experience CBC at 1.5" of lift.

    In most cases you should be alright and good to go without them. There is a slight chance of CBC, just depends on how your truck was manufactured.

    around the 7:00 mark and thereafter, a trick to avoid having a likely short develop later, cut the two wires offset to each other. On the one cable end, cut the white wire 3" longer than the black wire, and on the other cable cut the black wire 3" longer than the white. Slide individual heatshrink tubing over them before soldering, plus use a heatshrink tube for the whole cable assembly that has water-resistant adhesive inside. This way your two solder-joints are not right next to each other so if somehow the heatshrink fails they're not able to immediately short, your two solder-joints are individually heatshrinked, and your whole joint is covered with that adhesive helping to keep moisture out.

    i went with the fox titan swap ADO, its been great after about 7k miles i increased the front tension on the front spring a turn and has been so far the best truck lift i have ever used. I built an overland trailer from a hummer m1102 and its all aluminum hard sided pop up and it tows it like a dream i forget its even back there. Last thing on my truck to build out is my 20% rear seat delete and build for my solar gen and fridge combo then i am as well done.

I have been having a few issues so plan to sell it to my dad as he needs the 4WD more than me living in the city. I paired the ADO control arms with the RC 2.5" loaded struts and I still had to grind my coil buckets. The drivers side needed more grinding than the passengers side. I'm thinking seriously about swapping the coilovers out for better one's because I'm having positive camber issues also with this setup. Or I'm having alignment technician issues, not sure which one yet.
