  yes, it's true that Vietnamese women understand male-female relationships and it's also true that they don't harass us tourists and, as you mentioned, they prefer that the tourist take the first steps, but they are very communicative and show signals that they are interested, this is because they are modest and yet very amorous. and I don't agree that they won't go to bed soon. everything is guided by intentions. I said I wanted to try what she tasted like and I wanted to taste her culture. she gave it to me quickly.

I have been here 2 weeks now and a couple of them randomly went out of there way to say hi to me and they were very pretty… it actually caught me off guard, but I could tell that if I wanted anything further to happen that I would have to be the one to establish it just like a normal traditional society. Whereas in Thailand I didn’t have to say much because THEY talk to me first and are more aggressive in that manner

  Family oriented, fine! However, I like female freedom of expression and association. The last thing I want is to go and live in any country and be lonely, just because I can't find a girlfriend..

  Yes, the Vietnamese women have been saying hi to me recently and have been a lot nicer to me and that’s giving me the confidence to maybe ask them for their number or something. Coming from Thailand the girls are very aggressive and will talk to you first so it is a culture shock in Vietnam for me.

  @@Ned88Man Thai culture is intact. Vietnamese culture is mixed with Chinese and French. You brought up sex. I said Thailand looks like more fun because of the lively nightlife and abundant street food, which seems to be lacking in this part of Vietnam.

  You should go to the smaller cities if you want family-oriented areas in Thailand. You are saying everyone is a freelancer because you are sticking to the usual tourist spots and they are really aggressive there. Go checkout the cities outside of Chiangmai or the ancient city very few tourists and redlight activities.
