Hey there Justin. I've watched a few of your vids and I like the content. There is a thing with automotive YT channels where they all kind of sound the same and share the same format. This usually happens once they get to be really big, well known channels. Kind of like how some channels try to copy Doug DeMuro and put their arms out behind the car. So I have found myself looking for smaller channels where the content is singular in it's style or format. I like how you narrate your vids. It gives them sort of an aside effect where you take yourself out of the vid and let the visual content "speak" for itself...along with some narration. It's like the best of both worlds. You're there and you here with us, expanding on the visual content as it plays out. Not that it matters, but I don't even own a Mustang; I can tell you really like Mustangs, even passionate about them. My DD is an '04 C5 Corvette. It's looks okay with torch red paint, red leather seats, red carpet and red trim, chrome Z06 style wheels. Lots of red. Intake, cam, headers, cat back, HP tune, 412hp. "Gran Turismo Tourer". But I like Mustangs too and before buying the Vette in Feb. '22, I looked at an '07 Mustang GT Premium with 17K miles and a Kenne Bell supercharger kit. It was blue with white racing stripes and polished wheels. The car lot was asking $22k; this is while used car prices were considerably higher. My budget was $15k and that's what the car lot was asking for the Vette. It wasn't an easy decision and I still think about the Mustang today and wish I would have taken it for a test drive with it's supercharged engine. There's no telling what else was done to it, but you could clearly see the Kenne Bell supercharger sitting right on top of the engine. The car was mint.
That’s really cool. I appreciate the comment and feedback. I always felt like making videos should show what I’m talking about more than a camera pointed at my face and taking up the screen lol. KZread suggestions tell me that I may get more views doing the common practice of pointing the camera at my face and blabbing, but that’s not how I want to make my videos. I choose to make the content how I like it and if people want to watch they can and if they don’t, they don’t have to. This is a hobby for me while others try to make it their career. I also really like all American muscle and sports cars. A red C5 is definitely one of my favorites. Yours sounds really cool. A Kenne bell 3V sounds like a nice car but would most likely have issues. Sadly the 3V’s are known as the worst 4.6’s out there. Still a cool car, but the Corvette was probably the better choice.
@@justin.c_svt Thanks for the response. I really didn't know "3 valves" were somewhat problematic. But I was aware that it seems people like the older 2 valve engines more...or the Coyote engine especially. Keep doing the vids the way you like. And since you do it as a hobby, it won't seem so much like work. Just saying, a popular YT content creator right around the corner from me has 1.27 million subs and I can tell he's kind of burned out from having to make a vid every week, edit them, and post them. He does a popular car review channel and has been doing it for several years. To him it is his career. He doesn't do anything else.
@mlc7boosted Yeah, I’ve told others that I don’t want the constant stress of trying to come up with viral material like other KZreadrs do. They tend to change as they chase the numbers. The 3V’s have a lot of issues with the cam phasers and breaking valve lashes. I have a 3V playlist on my channel about when my friend bought one even though I told him he probably shouldn’t and then we had to replace the entire engine.
@@justin.c_svt So no 3 valves for me! Thanks.
that head is trashed , there should not be any pits in the cam journals , the journals , or cam bore is the cam bearings , there are no actual cam bearings , the cam bore is probably not straight , send it to a machine shop to verify , but pretty sure its no good , and might want to check the other cam and head ,
That’s a good point. I wonder what trouble a little pitting in the head would actually cause. We did put a straight edge across all the journals and it seemed straight. The machine shop has the head now. We’ll see what they say.
You should be a nation wide mobile mechanic lol 😂 for the new edge
I guess im already tech support
@@justin.c_svt I’m wanting my timing chains and guides replaced on my 2001 cobra and it’s hard to find anyone to do it… It seems complicated so I haven’t tackled it.
@anthonywithem2272 Definitely an involved job.
Hey man, I've been watching your videos for some time now, great information and an amazing collection you have there. I own a all original screeming yellow 04 Cobra and I was wondering if you can support with few information (what's the best way to keep my car in mint condition) is there away I can contact you other than the comments 😅
You can email me at [email protected]
Nice find on the cams, that cam plate was in terrible condition, i think you nailed it with not enough assembly lube, sitting way too long, engine not getting enough oil to the top end of the engine during start up. That Kenne Bell supercharger is for sure different that most superchargers out there. Great content.
Thank you. I’m glad my videos are found by people who enjoy these cars.
Wow that's a lot of wires running everywhere, I would not know what to do with all of that
Justin.it’s amazing how much knowledge you have.i have been working as a mechanic for 28 years.im impressed how much you and your brother can do.awesome job.👍.i have learned a lot from your channel. Keep up the awesome content.
Thank you. I appreciate that. I guess if you are motivated to do something, you are happy to learn. Sometimes we learn out of necessity when we have a problem that needs to be solved too.
I was wondering what those plugs under the rear seat were for.
That’s a bummer about the engine
Yeah for sure. So much money and all new
So cool to see this ! Im looking to Trade my Audi for one !! I miss being apart of the mustang community since I sold my 2V I’ve been on a quest to find the right mustang lol . Definitely have my eye on these Shelby GTs they’re so underrated and under appreciated…….good for people like myself now it isnt hard to Aquire one 😆
I’ve seen a few for sale lately that were really run down and affordable. I was tempted to buy one. Revan Evan just did a cool video of one that is a test car at ford and they have a coyote in it.
Literally about to be doing almost the same build just not quite as bad a$$. Car only has a bbk 78mm tb/plenum cold air intake and 100 shot right now. But we are pulling the motor 132k miles to do rods and pistons and a kb 2.1 kit. But we’ve also got coil overs for it tube k-member and control arms, rear upper and lower tube adjustable control arms, 3000rpm stall, shift kit, longtube headers, ported heads and Howard rattler cams. Between me and my buddy we been getting all these parts together over the last 2 years almost and finally getting around to putting them on. We’ve also got a set of 3.55 gears but we are going to see how the stock 3.27 or 3.31 does whatever the stock gear is. Can’t wait
That’s really cool. Nice build
@@justin.c_svt yea we talked about it on your last video but figured it wouldn’t hurt to comment on this one too 🤣
Gosh, this reminds me of my car. Purchased 2 years ago. previous owner No expense spared. Black 01 GT, built motor, kenne Bell. Sat for 8 yrs due to fuel pump lol. Love the content Justin! Can't wait to hear it run.
That’s cool. 🤙🏻
Fuel pump takes 2 hours tops, but it sat for 8 years? SMH
@fakenews4734 Long story short, the guy passed away and his family was going to have the car crushed lol. Saved it in the nick of time at a great price.
@justin.c_svt One day, would love for you to do a video on my car. Unique story to it. Saved it from the crusher.
@markrosario8800 wow
Thanks for this video. I just picked up a car that is setup very similar to this. The way you documented things helped me reference some things for mine, like the sway bar relocation mounts used for the qa1 k member, or the way the heat exchanger hoses are routed.
That’s great. I’m happy to hear when people can use what I do.
I really wish I could break down an engine like this… It’s hard to find good mechanics to work on these cars.
Yeah. I understand that.
Awesome
Sounds absolutely incredible, is that the Catless x with Borla Stingers??
O/R H with magnapacks
Couldn’t ask for a more Mustang loving person to work on your car.. Great work!!
I have to agree lol. I thought that. My friend specifically requested me to come work on it.
@@justin.c_svt I don’t let anyone work on my car, but I’d be happy to have you working on it that’s for sure!!
Who’s GT Justin??
A client of my friend. It’s really neat huh?
@@justin.c_svt very nice, I love a nice kenne bell build!! Thanks for sharing..
@@justin.c_svtperfect song also!!😂😂
Full video will be out soon. Lots of details.
That's a downer. I have that hood. Lol
Yeah, I remember. The blue GT I bought from your friend in enterprise had the same hood too. I saw it on the ground, broken from the accident and I drove off without it. I have an extra stock one on that car now even though it’s a parts car
@justin.c_svt I'm trying to source a stock gt or maybe cobra style. I'm not a fan of this hood. I mean, it's fine, I suppose. But I prefer the original styles. Is there any way to address the de-lamination of the armrests?
@vanashke001 I definitely love the stock hood. The GT hood scoop is one of my favorite parts. The door panels may be hard to get behind to glue. I’m sure there are many creative ways to do something about it.
damn bro what was the cause of the cam getting locked up? what were the symptoms and did they attempted to turn it over?
I’m making a full video about it now with all the details. It was a fresh build that sat for 7 years and the timing may have been off. Possibly no oil on the first start after sitting so long.
Just love all of the cars, the GT's, Mach 1's, and Cobra's what a collection. Me and my wife only have 2 GT's my wife 02 GT, and my 04 GT(pictured), some sad news, my 04 got totaled driving to work a more than a week ago by DUI driver running a red light in the mourning rear ending me at a high rate of speed, totally destroying my car, such a sad sight to see, another New Edge Mustang taken off the streets.
Oh man, that’s awful. I’m sad to hear that. I hope you are doing well.
@@justin.c_svt thanks, physically okay, mentally not okay.
@paulhudgins5120 That’s rough. I hope all goes well for you and you can relax and recover quickly
@@justin.c_svt Thanks man.

Maybe you could do a video on export mirrors? Did Ford design them for Japan and Europe and then just modify the base moldings for the Termi how ever many years later?
Yes, they were actually made in the 90s for the earlier SN95 Mustangs for export use because the law requires that the mirror breaks away or folds if somebody on a bike hits it because the streets are so narrow and then Ford used them on the Terminator cobra as well as the 40th anniversary V6 and 40th anniversary GT package cars
@@justin.c_svt ahhh I see, cool when foreign market stuff trickles into the US stuff. I like on the N/A AU🇦🇺 Cobras that they came matte black vs the color matched Terminator+ ones. I remember the day I found about the 40th mirrors- a dude (biggest grin you ever seen) walked past me coming out of my local picknpull as I was heading in, he took them home for $30.00 found the car inside and then looked it up when I got home & that’s how I found Danny Johnson’s Garage and from his channel I found yours!! Good stuff
@GarageHobbit That’s awesome
My neighbour! Awesome car and great guy. Just went to a local car show in it with Andrew. 👍
That’s cool
Nice tang
The way that camaro parked up against the curb lol. I do that with my Bronco but I have over a foot of clearance over everything lol
Yeah, a bronco is justified in that case lol
Hey brother I'm getting ready to sell my car , just put it up for sale today looking to upgrade to a higher mileage terminator. It's on marketplace
That’s cool. I saw your story on IG stating your sale. Good luck.
8:36 I think that is the Wasatch Mountains, but I might be wrong.. Edit @12:09 That is a 68. It has the side marker light near where the rear bumper should be.
I love this channel and this video… You really connect with how most of us feel about these cars… I’m thinking of doing my first ever video on my 01 cobra… Also thanks for the clutch recommendations I’m doing my homework and think the McLeod is the one.
That’s really cool. I’ll watch for your vid To come out.
I’ve been watching this channel forever I really gotta get me another new edge. I sold my 02 to my buddy but I’m helping him build the motor now. Doing forged rods/pistons ported pi heads, Howard rattler cams, and KB 2.1 supercharger kit. Got a ton of parts for the car. Coil overs, longtubes headers, 3000rpm stall, shift kit, and tons of suspension. Really makes me want to get another one. Especially a terminator or Mach. I still have 08 3v gt 5 speed, and a 19 gt 10 speed but something about these new edges.
That’s really cool. I’m working on a Kenne bell 2 valve right now with a fully built engine, dropping the drivetrain out of it as we speak. I totally agree Terminator or Mach 1 would be sick.
@@justin.c_svt we are about to start on his as soon as I get my other buddy’s 16 gt out my garage. Had to pull the psg head for the gasket but we should have it back together and out in the next few days. Then it’ll probably take us a month to do the 2v since we both work full time jobs but luckily we work the same exact schedule so that helps. Can’t wait I’m excited and it isn’t even my car anymore. Hoping to make 550ish to the rear wheels.
@justa3v619 Good plan. Lots of hard work there as well.
Hey awesome & fantastic mustang 😀 gt😊❤
I heard that this new Mustang is that they're going to bring back the SVT Cobra
Nothing will ever replace the Terminator or live up to what it has now become
First! Sweet. Man. I just bought an 04 Mach 1 with 23k miles. It’s immaculate. I want to add a Saleen, a Roush, a Terminator Cobra, and a Bullit. I need a bigger garage
Nice purchase. Those are some good goals.
@@justin.c_svt thanks for the shout out :D I love watching you videos
😂😂
Hahaha
Wicked junk! Mission accomplished.
His Mach1 looks good with the Bullitt wheels on it.
Sounds amazing. Love little Mack. I remember the stories too.
That’s cool that you were there for the stories as well when we were growing up.
Awesome burn out and video… I love to here these stories… It takes me back to my high school days when I had my LX 5.0 and me and my crew would meet after school to race otherMustangs and Camaro’s and trans am… I had a cobra intake with some bolt ones and thought I was it… Your videos bring me back to a good place in my life… I mentioned to you about my 2001 cobra… I love my cobra and sometimes after seeing these videos at work I can’t wait to get home and take her around the block… My son always begs to go with me lol 😆… I’m a working man and obtaining this car was a blessing I thought would never happen.
That’s fantastic. I had 2 friends with 80’s 5.0’s and one was really built up with a cobra intake manifold and cam. Someone traded it for a 4 wheeler. Hard to believe. The 01 cobra is a great car to have today. I love watching videos that make me want to go drive my cars too. Glad to hear it.
@@justin.c_svt I know you know a lot about these cars… What clutch should I get for my cobra… I need to replace it but I don’t want anything to aggressive
@anthonywithem2272 It’s hard to say what the best option would be. I’ve had mcloud (very popular) Ram (heavier pedal) King cobra from CJ pony parts (pretty decent) spec stage 1 (kinda stock feel but lots of break in chatter even with a new flywheel) Spec stage 3, heavy pedal and break in chatter, and my 2 current Mach 1’s have what seem to be stock replacements or maybe even a duralast cheap autozone (in my yellow one) but the stock one in my blue mach 1 was replaced right before I bought it so I’m not sure what it really is but I like it best. Seems to be a stock one. If you aren’t going to be racing, I’d suggest a light pedal feel stock replacement. Not sure where to buy it.
@@justin.c_svt thank you so much for your response
Sounds good
I believe you have exceeded 30 mph
A.I.
Yes these stories remind me when I used to go to School and people will talk about cheat codes I remember Mortal Kombat was the biggest game at my time
When I was driving here I saw a 2002 V6 Mustang laser red the car looked original❤❤
My buddy hade a 70 Mach 1, it got keyed and sugar poured in the tank.. I almost bought it for $800 but I was young and dumb and didn’t realize what I was passing up..
Geez. That’s too bad.
Awesome burnout! Love it! 👍👍
Excuse me if you already mentioned it but the headlights are of the 2001-04 type. The originals would have been clear with chrome.I had a white ‘99 with charcoal interior and black convertible top.
Yes, you are correct. I’m sure the stock clear ones glazed over a long time ago and were replaced with these.
Gorgeous ❤
What a waste.
Too Awsome now to the local tire shop lol
Yup. These tires were new a few months ago
