  if i ever "cant finish the game", it means its a bad game. I played trough Hogwarts Legacy in one breath, i played trough Sekiro, Elden Ring, Bloodborne, Stellar Blade in one breath. All of them were 100% playtroughs. On the other hand it took me about 9 months to finish assassins creed valhalla and i had to even skip all of the cutscenes on the second half of the game, and each time i booted up the game it felt like a chore rather than getting back to a game. it have nothing to do with my attention span, it is quality of games that is coming out. I should not "pay attention to the game", the game must grab that attention.

  Too many "this will take you 10 hours alone" achievements or trophies to get. I love platinuming a game, but my god some of them are atrocious. If a game has an online trophy or needs 3 or more playthroughs I pass on trying to platinum it. But is that the addiction of completionism or whatever and the dopamine of getting the trophies, or is it a side effect of games just being worse these days as they're pumped out yearly with no sense of religion passion with some obvious exceptions?

  I feel like too many people consider getting 100% of achievements completing the game. That just doesn't make sense anymore. There are so few games like that e.x. Subnautica where completing story grants you all achievements. Most games give you either pointless achievements that take grind or doing something cool but otherwise irrelevant and most games also don't give you achievement for participating in all actuall game features. For instance I have been playing one unpopular clicker on steam and to get all achievements you don't have to participate in all endgame content, you don't even have to max out half of the things, you don't achieve anything yet a lot of people would drop game here. And that's the problem, people aim to 100% a game instead of either actually completing all its feature or instead of making their own goals. The problem is that games want you to waste time grinding achievements and they have made people believe those are a sign of you truly completing the game while in reality it could not be further from truth for most titles.

  Games bck in the day were simply omre satisfying to complete. Point and Click adventure games were the most enjoyable to complete for me as a kid, everything from Monkey Island to Day of the Tentacle and Full Throttle, proper story driven games with memorable characters, scenes and dialogue lines. None of the games I play today have that level of personality and adventure... everything now is technically brilliant and so impressive but greatly lacking in soul.

  economy 2.0 helps a lot but there are bugs in the update that are game breaking. It feels much more like a sim city game now so I am enjoying it but want their summer vacation to end so they can fix the bugs....

  Its that no other game has made a big open world Tech demo like this so all the basic youtubers are glazing over it for views, and its a laid back experience that being said when a real Dev comes that knows how to add substances to this style and not just a tech demo people will look back and say oh NMS was just ok at best and a tech demo at worst lol glad others see that this game just tricks the Low IQ and easy to please crowd which is fine for them but other real gamers that want a game what has substance and more to do will look towards the future and pass over this basic tech demo of a title lol

  I would love to see a space RPG written in this engine.. ..or many. I find main stories often very limiting. I’m thinking something more like a Traveller TTRPG campaign, or New Vegas with unlimited modder-created map, factions a quests but no key story events you have to thread through.

  The game is theoretically fun, but in practice it is really not, primarily because of how trivial it is. When you can dispatch enemies 15 levels above you with ease, and 1-shot anything that is your level, there is no reason or interest to make your character stronger, there is no sense of achievement, so there's no point in playing the game. The game was made to cater to the mobile audience (yes the game has a mobile version).

  Its a whole lot of nothing imo. Need food? There's 8 deer standing 2m away from you. Need water? just boil some, you probably have loads from just looting a few boxes. The "zombies" does nothing, it takes about 3-5 business days for them to get to you and i don't even know if they even do damage when they do. I accidentally stumbled into boss fights with next to no ammo so i just whacked it with a machete. It actually did way more damage than shooting it. Resources respawn at a faster rate than you can clear them. I have no real will to do quests because what are they going give me? There are zero hurdles in the game so what could they possibly offer me? We really need to split the Survival genre into two, Survival and Resource Gathering because this is definitely not a survival game.

  Its an mmo looter shooter with mechanics from other games. Its a mix of a lot of flavors. Also, the game will change every 6 weeks, there will be a wipe and it will be a new season, we dont know exactly what changes but they did say its gonna add/change things every time. The game is not for everyone, but whoever likes it will be hooked.

  I been through two beta tests and been binging the game up to red sands. What I call it is zombie survival with home decor and Hideo Kojima style weirdness. Won't be a game for everyone, but MAN will it hook the ones who like what OH is doing.
