had a severe allergic reaction to vancomycin during my iv treatment. I have developed a rare drug rash I believe. While at the hospital being treated with vancomycin for 4 days, I developed the rash only around my C-section surgery cut area, and it's not going away. Wasn't treated with any antihistamines cause my doctors didn't give me the proper treatment. I have tried many antibiotics creams and BNT powders, but the rash just keeps coming back and has my cut always wet. I'm so fed up with my doctors and not finding a solution to this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated 🙏

The speaker mentions giving dexamethasone here kzread.info/dash/bejne/nmiMs9SwoLyvY5c.htmlsi=cg7f3kvuKOcdWbCT&t=1000 but dex has minimal to no mineralocorticoid activity so doesn't really work in an adrenally insufficient pt who is hypotensive/critically ill?

I would like to ask about my case... I was brought to a emergency hospital after getting a blood pressure measurement in a pharmacy... First, i had 196/121... I was asked to rest for 20 mins and then repeated the procedure. My second was 191/121. I was asymptomatic. I only felt having a pulsating headache. It was not too strong but a little fastidious. After being admitted in the emergency hospital. They took another bp measure and i got 209/125. They injected me with a lasix (diuretic) after 1hr (i urinated twice) they took another measurement and i decreased into 193/120. They adviced me to go to the emergency ward in a polyclinic. They took control of my ecg and blood analysis and after 4 gruelling hours they said that everything is normal but i have to call my family doctor for the prescription of amlodopina. Was it a normal response??? Must i not have a deeper over all test of my body of i am really ok? I doubt. I was expecting they would do an extensive check up because i am asymptomatic. What can you advice me? Thanks for anyone who can give response.

5:42 I'd suggest an alteration to that shock list. Here you have mixed pathophysiological and aetiological types of shock. Pathophysiological types describe how exactly the dysfunction of circulation and perfusion is happening, it is purely fluid mechanic question. Of those there are four: -hypovolaemic -distributive -cardiogenic -obstructive In other words, this is how "the pump, the tank and the pipes" can go wrong. Shock is rarely a matter of just one pathopyhsiological aspect. The aetiological classification describes how you get to those states, among others, there are: -septic (causing a mix of hypovolaemic (through capillary leak) and distributive (through vasoplegia) shock) -anaphylactic (causing a mix of hypovolaemic and distributive shock, similarly to septic shock) -neurogenic (causing a mix of distributive and cardiogenic shock) -haemorrhagic (causing hypovolaemic shock) And exactly because these types of shock have different pathophysiological aspects, they should not go with the items of the first list.

I absolutely despise how, in the SSRI section everyone is calling the medications by their brand names. This is just terrible form. You ALWAYS use the substance-name.
