    The purpose of a shroud is to ensure than the fan pulls as much cooler outside air through the radiator as possible. Going without a shroud just ensures less air being pulled through the radiator and a lot more hot air just being stirred around in the engine compartment, leading to overheating.

    It doesnt apply very well to the street cars that might lose it suddenly. That is likely more to do with summer tires in cold temps combined with a COMPLETE throttle cut that leaves the driver unable to add throttle to finess over steer. Winding up crossed up on the steering wheel and thunder fucked because your throttle was cut. As for the track, pull the dyno plug if the systems are behaving so poorly on the S550

    And this is why challengers and chargers along with corvettes all handle and slide better. Lol. They inspire confidence, while a mustang tries to kill you. I say this having driven them all and owning two.

    Thats crazy. The shroud directly pulls air from the radiator. Your pulling air from thru the ground. Go take your home air conditioner fan shroud off and see how far you get and loss of cooling and nothing to do with power biden with your pen at 1:03. Draw a bunch of air coming up off the highway in-between the radiator. 😅 What are you trying to cool doen the earth and road while you drive or what.

    So I don't know maybe I misunderstood are you saying if you pull the fuse you're killing the the system altogether is that what I got out of it let me know if I'm wrong by the way love the channel I do agree with you I believe it was attractive control that caused no problem like you said it's written in the manual may cause death don't, Fvan the cars what they're saying

    How much does C clip Axles contribute to brake pad knock back? My 1997 Z28, I'm doing the same upgrades except I'm using Eradispeed+ 2 piece C6 Z06 Rotors from Baer. Also I just ordered up SKF X-Tracker wheel hubs to fight brack pad knock back on the same CTS-V Calipers you have. Now my rear setup will be different. I have a Moser 12 Bolt rear with a Detroit Trutrac posi with BOLT IN AXLES which don't rely on C-Clips. My rear brakes are stock but I have upgraded to Bear 13 inch Eradispeed+ Rotors to help with rear braking Torque. I'm hoping my stock rear brake calipers with the bolt in axles and the 2 piece rear brake rotors will help fight off the brake pad knockback. Let me know what you think.

  • @Savineyard3
    @Savineyard32 ай бұрын

    By the way if I have to I have the rear brackets to bolt bolt on C6 Z51 brake calipers but I'll do the 14 inch C6 Baer Eradispeed+ 2 piece rotor upgrade instead of the stock size rotors. Mostly for looks but I would think the 2 piece rotors will help out with braking torque while being fairly light weight and allow the rotor to flex a little to further help fight off brake pad knock back. Thanks for Reading all this.

    So what mode will most likely lessen your chances of becoming a KZread crash video? What mode is launching people off the road into crowds? Seems like advance track off would give you more control of the car.

    Great Video and I 100% agree with you about the stability control never fully going off, Now you need to show us a video of what fuse we Need to pull???????

    It's Because of all the half assed Tech they put in all new cars.. If you are like me and you are used to driving cars from the 70's 80's and 90's where we were totally in control of the car vs now where the car is doing stuff on it's own it's going to feel weird.. It's taken me months to feel this car out and get used to it.. I don't recommend taking traction control off without the stability control being off too.. I want to be the only one breaking the car, So please show me which fuse to pull for the stability control??????

  • @marcasswellbmd6922
    @marcasswellbmd69224 ай бұрын

    The traction control is the problem.. Also when you turn it off it doesn't go completely off unless you hold the brake and the button for 7 seconds, Then it is completely off. Or you have to go into track mode and turn it off.. But he is absolutely right about it coming back on and having a mind of it's own..

    Good commentary, it’s nice to have the extra horsepower but at what cost to cooling efficiency? If you’re close to overheating, the shroud will be needed.

    Very well done! I’m sure these systems have saved lives but I absolutely despise these stability systems and think they have accidents and loss of control. I confess my ignorance of these systems, thanks for helping to explain how these work.

    I crashed a 2015 1LE Camaro because of exactly the same situation with stability control aggressively correcting a controllable slide. The 1LE model has significantly wider tires and stock Brembo brakes. I don’t know how to prove it, but I’m betting it has the same stability control software algorithms as a standard Camaro with less tread width and less powerful brakes.

    I was looking at adding LPG to one here in the UK.... but I think I'll stick with my 2002STI..... It's all analogue and the AP brakes simply overload the ABS and is stops/grips like crazy. P.S. It's very hard to drift though.....

    aint nothin on my 89 ford escort 1.) 15 inch wheels with 175" width tires making it like a speed skating Disney princess on ice 2.) Square body low to ground for best reduced coefficient drag 3.) I call her the "ranch" where she's stores all her 110 horses inside 4.) never beat on...only 15k miles 5.) chrome hubcaps (pepboys) 6.) enough hatchback space to keep a couple dead hookers 7.) Its a Ford Escort 8.) I have 3..yes 3 window wipers front and back 9..) has small rear roof/hatch spoiler for keeping it from fishtailing and taking off 10.) Lastly.....its 110 hp beast, that wines up a hill with might Let me these cars do that....meh
