    I don’t get it. Red bull has had a flexing front wing since at least 2022. Now they’re crying because everyone else is using the same techniques and catching up

    If F1 gave up on the unworkable atrategy of having every car equally competitive in every individual race, eliminated DRS, and required all cars to keep the same aerodynamic and tuning setup throughout the season, then the teams would be faced with having to make compromises for tracks with different characteristics. E.g. cars tuned for street tracks would be less competitive on long high speed tracks, and low downforce high-speed tuned cars would do less well on short twisty street circuits. Also reduce total width and length and minimim weight to improve passing options.

    Alpine will sell by the end of the year, take their Billion dollars + and invest in WEC. Bruno will be done with F1 due to the complete shit show the team has become. Hopefully Andretti becomes the new owner (with minor partners?) and then gets their shot at competing. If that happens, I coukd see Honda as a manufacturer for them due to his association with Honda in INDY Car till Cadillac is ready

    Alpine IS in F1, Andretti isn’t. Accept reality

  • @reverendbogey
    @reverendbogey7 сағат бұрын

    Reality was accepted a long time ago. That's not my point. My point is you can't say one thing for one team and another thing for someone else. It either is good for the sport or it isn't. If Andretti being an engine customer is bad for the sport, then it is bad for the sport for Alpine and the other teams who are engine customers to do the same. You can't have it both ways. That is known as hypocrisy. I also know the history of the sport, and there have always been engine customers since before the days of the Ford Cosworth. So, if being an engine customer is not bad for the sport, which we all know it isn't, then why apply that as one of the main reasons for turning down Andretti? Can't be the name. They've got plenty of money and the backing of GM. Half the teams in F1 now are not competitive. So which is it? Also, remember this. Andretti almost purchased Sauber a few years ago. The deal fell through because Sauber was willing to take his money but would not cede control of the team.

    I say get rid of the two top guys, like Bruno and the other guy! The reason is simple! The are rude and none professionals! I remember they came in and immediately got into it with Alan Prost, then they got rid of Otmar (which I believe is the stupidest move ever)! It is basically arrogance displayed by these two Alpine top executives that is directly causing the collapse of Renult / Alpine!!! so if I had a very important / powerful ear inside Alpine, I would suggest firing these Bruno and the other guy immediately just to show the public their behaviors are not acceptable, and to restore some confidence into Alpine fans... Just my take on this Wednesday morning :) ) 8D

    switching their name to Alpine in the first place should have been a warning... they are taking a classic French car manufacturers name that ISN'T the main owner of the team? All it meant was that Renault could have it's cake and not deal with the direct crap it's poor performance/internal problems had directly attached to it... though anyone with any knowledge of the team 100% knows it's still Renault but as with your video "Alpine New Direction" and not "Renault's New Direction".

    These new engine regulations are causing a massive panic in the F1 world, people are saying that the Ford/Redbull engine is sub par, that's what's fueling the rumours of Verstappen going to Mercedes and Renault has just given up, not ever really getting the turbo hybrid engine formula to work for them...like you said, and looking elsewhere for a PU. They should go for Mercedes PU, if Verstappen is curious about them there must be something good happening there!😎😎

    Marketing your brand as the failures of the grid that can't build a competitive engine and instead relying on others to do it for you is surely a better approach for Renault and Alpine than just selling the team to Andretti who would actually have the chance to be competitive.

    Cadillac are making their own engine. Why would they bother using the worst engine on the grid. I'm sure GM thinks they can do better and they probably can as long as they don't do some stupid shit like putting in a naturally aspirated V8 engine. They should quit and sell the team to Andretti. Andretti could then become a customer team, as they had already planned. In 2028, the Cadillac engine would be finished to turn them into a true works team. It is a much better option that allowing Alpine to source other engines.
