So they’re getting rid of DRS on the rear ring and putting in the front… ok
I don’t get it. Red bull has had a flexing front wing since at least 2022. Now they’re crying because everyone else is using the same techniques and catching up
Hehe Merc coming to you🙂↔️
Red Bull - the kings of "If we're not the fastest we'll call your car illegal" BORING
Merc wants LESS CUSTOMER TEAMS Toto has said last season…not more
Is this like the Ferrari double boost battery? FIA said yes it's legal but can you take it off in two races time. Then Mercedes rock up with their own double boost battery. . Hmmm
Red Bull started the whole how far can our wings flex years ago 😂
If F1 gave up on the unworkable atrategy of having every car equally competitive in every individual race, eliminated DRS, and required all cars to keep the same aerodynamic and tuning setup throughout the season, then the teams would be faced with having to make compromises for tracks with different characteristics. E.g. cars tuned for street tracks would be less competitive on long high speed tracks, and low downforce high-speed tuned cars would do less well on short twisty street circuits. Also reduce total width and length and minimim weight to improve passing options.
Alpine will sell by the end of the year, take their Billion dollars + and invest in WEC. Bruno will be done with F1 due to the complete shit show the team has become. Hopefully Andretti becomes the new owner (with minor partners?) and then gets their shot at competing. If that happens, I coukd see Honda as a manufacturer for them due to his association with Honda in INDY Car till Cadillac is ready
Andretti doesn’t have the billions… he wanted in with 200mil….
Honda has an EXCLUSIVE DEAL WITH AM from 2026! They won’t supply any other team!!!!
So it's ok for Alpine to be a customer team and be non-competetive, but it isn't for Andretti. Nice consistency, FOM and Liberty.
Alpine IS in F1, Andretti isn’t. Accept reality
Reality was accepted a long time ago. That's not my point. My point is you can't say one thing for one team and another thing for someone else. It either is good for the sport or it isn't. If Andretti being an engine customer is bad for the sport, then it is bad for the sport for Alpine and the other teams who are engine customers to do the same. You can't have it both ways. That is known as hypocrisy. I also know the history of the sport, and there have always been engine customers since before the days of the Ford Cosworth. So, if being an engine customer is not bad for the sport, which we all know it isn't, then why apply that as one of the main reasons for turning down Andretti? Can't be the name. They've got plenty of money and the backing of GM. Half the teams in F1 now are not competitive. So which is it? Also, remember this. Andretti almost purchased Sauber a few years ago. The deal fell through because Sauber was willing to take his money but would not cede control of the team.
Then it will no longer be Alpine or Renault would it? Celebrity investors I suspect are scratching their collective heads.
I say get rid of the two top guys, like Bruno and the other guy! The reason is simple! The are rude and none professionals! I remember they came in and immediately got into it with Alan Prost, then they got rid of Otmar (which I believe is the stupidest move ever)! It is basically arrogance displayed by these two Alpine top executives that is directly causing the collapse of Renult / Alpine!!! so if I had a very important / powerful ear inside Alpine, I would suggest firing these Bruno and the other guy immediately just to show the public their behaviors are not acceptable, and to restore some confidence into Alpine fans... Just my take on this Wednesday morning :) ) 8D
Mercedes buy Renault engines for some of their vehicles so what’s wrong with Renault buying off Mercedes for their F1 car
Imagine that, a male interested in a female. It’s how we all are here
Cooked
Voice is incredibly pleasant
So that would mean they need a new tub or chassis to fit which ever ICE maker then buy from, right?
Correct. 2026 will have entirely different cars anyway
@@thisisagreencar7160 I wonder how deep they were into the 2026 car?
Wow you mean the French were able to overcome their xenophobia briefly to make an intelligent decision. Its amazing. Now lets see what low level unqualified French driver they pick to replace Ocon. . .
Hey Renault/Alpine...you want to know the easiest way to solve this? Go to Andretti and join venture with them. You will have Andretti technical expertise and GM support for engine.
Soon we’ll have Tesla and Toyota Prius teams in F1 )
It’s not that unusual really.. Alfa Romeo used Ferrari, Aston Martin use Mercedes and soon Honda. Both car manufacturers. Even McLaren are a manufacturer that buy Mercedes engines.
Exactly!
switching their name to Alpine in the first place should have been a warning... they are taking a classic French car manufacturers name that ISN'T the main owner of the team? All it meant was that Renault could have it's cake and not deal with the direct crap it's poor performance/internal problems had directly attached to it... though anyone with any knowledge of the team 100% knows it's still Renault but as with your video "Alpine New Direction" and not "Renault's New Direction".
hough hough hough wee wee wee ze problem with our renault is ze renault bits....
BMW your turn to enter the chat
I mean, no one wants their engines.
Renault and Honda deserve each other
F2 car
These new engine regulations are causing a massive panic in the F1 world, people are saying that the Ford/Redbull engine is sub par, that's what's fueling the rumours of Verstappen going to Mercedes and Renault has just given up, not ever really getting the turbo hybrid engine formula to work for them...like you said, and looking elsewhere for a PU. They should go for Mercedes PU, if Verstappen is curious about them there must be something good happening there!😎😎
Wouldn't this be a GREEAAAAT time to allow Andretti International in?
😂😂😂 nope.
Renault has always been good aerodynamically. They'll be better with a new PU
renault/alpine going bankrupt for f1 cost that is nonsens, the team ma lose money but alpine/renault will not go bankrupt because of that
Alpine is stil part of Renault
Thiss is not good for the sport a manufactuar becoming a customor team, kick them out
Marketing your brand as the failures of the grid that can't build a competitive engine and instead relying on others to do it for you is surely a better approach for Renault and Alpine than just selling the team to Andretti who would actually have the chance to be competitive.
alpine can win with the red bull honda engine
Renault has always been better than they are running now. I wonder what has changed in the team
Red Bull supplying Renault, oh how the turntables.....
Red Bull will be supplying "turntables", I didn't know RB made turntables.
Yes, the best driver on the grid 7:14 Max Vetstappen
everybody saw one bad race for ferrari and said "they're MIDFIELD NOW :000000"
Not sure it is 'happening'
Wtf is with thouse ppl. 2016 performance, what isnt bad. 2016 sice of everything what isnt bad. Louder cars what isnt bad. And ppl cry. Just chill tf out
Cadillac are making their own engine. Why would they bother using the worst engine on the grid. I'm sure GM thinks they can do better and they probably can as long as they don't do some stupid shit like putting in a naturally aspirated V8 engine. They are that stupid though so... it'll be entertaining
Haha! That NA V8 is killer in WEC. If anyone can make a V8 work, it's GM/Cadillac.. Here's hoping the regs for 2030 eliminate the hybrid part of the engine and focuses on renewable fuels..🫰🫰
GM doesn’t want to supply any engine till 2028! And you don’t JUST chuck any engine in! The new F1 2026 engine has special regs!!
Just the change that could improve alpines position in the future
The engines they build are made of glass. LeMans was a hilarious black eye…
le mans is not f1
They didn’t use Renault engines at LeMans!!!
This car looks like shit and we don't need changing the engine
Shocking and brave
They should quit and sell the team to Andretti. Andretti could then become a customer team, as they had already planned. In 2028, the Cadillac engine would be finished to turn them into a true works team. It is a much better option that allowing Alpine to source other engines.
Andretti doesn’t have the money to buy a team…. They wanted in with 200mil….
So sell the engine unit to Andretti/Cadillac
😂😂😂 you clearly have no clue
Just sell to Andretti. This is pathetic.
Andretti doesn’t have the money to buy a team… a team costs billions, Andretti wanted in with 200mill…..
If Alpine/Renault can’t produce a competitive engine.whats the point of being in F1?
I believe they make some very high-end nuts and bolts.
well if they run a honda redbull engine. they will will be able to extract data and inspect the engine and parts. so that could be helpful down the line
@@ryancuda45😂😂😂 you don’t know that in 2026 HONDA HAS AN EXCLUSIVE DEAL WITH AM? 😂 they won’t be supplying any other team from 2026…only AM.
