Good comparison....but..."you know"....some constructive criticism here now, you know....that is all depending, "you know".... No, one does "know", you know, or would be watching this. A bad verbal habit, to use the filler words "you know", every other sentence. Better communication would be to drop the you know, every other sentence, you know...as we don't know, you know, & why watching this, you know. Point made?? Pun intended too, you know...

I only got into large fixed blade knives around 7 years ago. Started with the Schrade schf37 and schf51 models. Both Chinese and budget knives. I’ve used the 51 for 6 years as an archaeological implement after the tip broke off on a pry test. Though the tip broke off that schf51 has dug up hundreds of civil war relics here in Maryland, near the Antietam battlefield, used as a pry tool solely. I’m thoroughly impressed with it. After said knife broke I decided to cough up the $ in 2020 for the bk9. I’m a landscaper by trade and use it daily. It’s truly a wonder. I’ve also used it to split logs nearly 12 inches in circumference just for the fun of it, been dropped from twenty feet numerous times down cliffs, left out in the snow and rain for weeks at a time. Soaked in boeschield T9 a couple times a year and it just goes n goes!

@cognomenunknown2144 that's awesome! I'm glad they've been great for you and I have to agree with you lol, I havent used mine quite that hard I don't think but I wouldn't be concerned if I needed to. Those particular Schrade's are very tough and ive seen some crazy things in videos with them, if that design was tweaked a bit it could be an absolute home run (assuming it isn't already lol). Thanks for watching!

@@alphaomegasurvivalsupply6548 I suppose it was a good time to become an enthusiast for such things as they soon after discontinued making them. On a side note, when I broke the tip off the 51 I sent in a pic to BTI brands ( I don’t believe they own Schrade now) as per their warranty they promptly sent a replacement which I still have and have barely ever used since I bought it bk9. And yeah, with a little tweaking they could’ve taken over!!!

@@alphaomegasurvivalsupply6548 civil war bullets and buckles, buttons etc are often ten inches deep and have lodged against roots and rocks etc. These sorts of knives are excellent tools for extracting them but they’re more dull than butter knives after a day of heavy digging at the base of the Appalachian Mountains.

Every channel that did a comparison of this Corona saw with other brands have stated that it was either adequate or above the average for the money spent, so I bought it and store it in one of my high top boots I keep in my SUV. To compliment it, I have an Eswing style hand axe and a Walmart small firepit with a SS cooktop so should I get caught out I have a nice wood burner cook kit. @alphaomegasurvivalsupply6548Ай бұрын

@markashlock9017 Granted, I haven't tested that lol but it seems pretty durable to me, I would imagine the original with the stainless steel cup would be more impact resistant however. Plastic can be more forgiving than titanium of course so it could bend instead of break kinda thing, I definitely wouldn't call the titanium cup flimsy though and it would probably stand up to a good beating honestly. Hey ill hit up Grayl and just see if they would send one out for testing and we can find out lol, I won't hold my breath on that though 🤣.

Unfortunately we did not get to make that happen in time 😞, he was a great dude and it really saddens me he's gone and so suddenly too. However if you were interested in a bag like that we could make it happen, I would just need measurements for the stove etc. My contact information is in my description box so we can work out the details, I can say it won't be super expensive while still being hand made with 100% American made parts and materials on American made machinery. Thank you for tracking me down and inquiring about a bag, I look forward to your patronage!

It's not a silly question and sorry I didn't show that well enough but the inner sleeve that the filter attaches to is also titanium, so the only plastic is the filter itself and the lid, besides a small line of plastic at the top on the outside of the inner cup that separates the inner and outter cups. Hopefully this made it a little more clear and if you have further questions don't hesitate to ask! Thanks for watching!

@jimbusmaximus4624 usually I'm against companies doing that but I don't think it's a perfect 1 to 1 copy and I don't have a wolverine to compare it to directly, many of these "name brand" companies are just charging WAY to much cuz I know what materials cost. For example a 6 inch bladed knife in magnacut could go between $250 - $350 depending, what they don't mention is that's less than $10 in steel and probably less with volume purchasing. So when people say it's more expensive because of the materials...its a flat out lie and materials are not the deciding factor on price lol, don't get me wrong people should make money but not 4 or 5 times what it should cost and more in some cases. Smh this country is in big, big trouble.....
