@Simply__Simone134 Hmm. Let's try breaking it down Barney style for you. Oak hardwood flooring is more durable, versatile, and beautiful, not to mention classy, than vinyl. That versatility is what allows a person to make it into whatever they want. Stains, oils, finishes, even texturing methods can all be applied to get the look you're after. The catch is that you can't be lazy.

Actually when youre putting these in there is a special tool that has a lip on both ends but opposite sides. The vinyl wont snap in securely without sliding it into place. Tamping it with a hammer will only cause it to rise later on and if its a piece in the middle you have to take off the whole row of end pieces up to the piece that pops out just to put it back in. And when you try to tamp it in the lip becomes brittle and will often break off and that piece will be useless. Not hating, just spreading the knowledge so that other people dont have to learn the hard way like I did.

if its just a little square room and cheap vinyl then yeah. But you also need to know how to cut trim. Regular floating flooring installation is pretty idiot proof its know all of the tricks for the issues you run into that takes skill as well as installing it in a way that your seams wont start poping after 6 months causing you to rip out huge sections because with almost all brands of locking floors if you have an issue in the middle of the room then half the floor is coming up.
