Hello & Welcome to my channel!
My name is Maria Petrova, I am a professional Russian as a Foreign Language teacher (MA MSU) - and a passionate language learner. I've designed my Russian Immersion video course for YOU in the way I teach in a real classroom and in the way I would learn any foreign language myself.
So, if you are learning Russian, I am happy to provide you with...
- a clear guidance: you'll follow the professionally designed study plan,
- regular opportunity to practice what you've learnt: each lesson is followed by a "Practice" video,
- language environment: all the lessons are in Russian only, so that you can immerse yourself into the language from the very beginning!
Join the course right now - I hope it will make a difference to your language practice!
See you in class!
Maria Petrova

LingQ brought me here. I love you for this series!
Without looking for it, n not knowing this word yet, I will try to write stewardess in russian. Стуадерьса. (Spellcheck was on but I tried to ignore it)😂 15:02...... I tried to write "authentic" when you said in russian. And I'm glad to say I got it right😂 This is why I say your channel is always helpful.
Exactly what I need. Memorized so many words for the last seven months and I can't remember some when I try to translate a sign in english into russian. 4:47.... when I saw точка.....I know that I know that word. But I had to think for a minute to remember the english translation. This is what I don't want. I want to come to the level where what I already know registers immediately.
Thanks for speaking only in Russian! It really is an immersion course btw I’m Дания
Я тоже хочу хорошо говорить по русский но для меня очень сложно учить русский язык 😢
Не, против мамки пойти надо.
Maria, thank you so much for teaching immersion courses. I learned so much with you in just one lesson! You're a brilliant teacher. I wish I could say all that in Russian :) Maybe, one day. I was a German teacher and also taught in immersion. Now that I'm a student of yours I can realize the impact of the immersive courses. Best Greetings from a Swiss living in Portugal. Nadine
@@nadinehertig1039 Thank you for your nice comment, I am always especially happy to see teachers here :) Good luck with the course!
. There seems to be such a steep learning curve, once the student covers the basics. If you or any of your viewers have any tips on how I might deal with this, I would appreciate learning about them. Thanks again for your excellent teaching. By the way, I am amazed how closely you resemble our American actress, Julia Roberts. [From Tom in northern Virginia, USA.]

Your Novosibirsk sounds a lot like Montreal where I grew up. The winter I remember most, was at -35°C.......очень холодный.
Ух ты! Никогда там не была, а теперь было бы интересно поехать 🙃 Спасибо за комментарий!

Hello, I'm writing in english because still it's difficult to typing in russian, it's so interesting your video about how to get skills in russian but I'm in Moscow and I'm working, I don't speak so good russian, just basic sentences but I have to learn quickly because I don't understand my colleagues, I was in russian classes online but after 4 months I just sepak like A1, what can I do?
Hi! @carlosvaglienty3699 You’ve made great progress actually for just 4 months. Unfortunately, in the format of comments I won’t be able to give you any specific advice - I also need to know more about your sutuation, previous learning and current practice. Feel free to send me an email at [email protected] (you can just copy-paste your comment) and let’s see how I can help 👌😊
В пятницу я управляю своей работой, а в субботу наслаждаюсь.
Спасибо 🌺🌷🌸

Здравствуйте о русском языке снимайте видео пожалуйста я учусь по русски и вы очень хорошо объясняете ❤
У меня все видео о русском языке :)
By the way, i'm deeply appreciative of the detail of your videos. I'm learning a lot better from watching them, abd hope to soon communicate and comment with better руский языке. Очень спасибо.
Удачи! 🍀
Be very careful. My younger cousin, at age 3, was exposed to 3 languages spoken by our family. Our native tongue, as well as english and french(Quebec first language). He soon developed difficulties in seperating the languages n mixing words(considered a learning disability by schools and teachers). He had this problem until 12 yrs of age.
Thanks for sharing! I am surprised to hear that it is considered a learning disability by schools. Goes to show that school system is pretty square…

I wish you make more videos in which you speak much more slowly for A1 level. On KZread, there are tens of thousands of Russian learning video, but >98% videos speak too fast (not for A1). There is not much point to make more videos for >B1 level (B1 learner can easily learn from TV, news, movie etc), but more A1 video is in demand. In fact, if you look at your own library, the most-watched videos are for A1 level learner.
Hi! Noted, thanks for the comment! By the way, I have a complete step-by-step course from 0 to A1 here on KZread, and if you take your time and go through the whole course following the videos in their order, then you will be able to move on to the playlist “Listening practice” and choose videos marked “A2” without any problem 🤗 Or come to study with me to get to A2 level and then you’ll have soo much more choice of what to listen to ;)
It is really effective that you teach in russian. I didn't understand anything in my main language. But I can understand you. ☺
❤👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾😊
The difficulty with Russian is the frequent use of sarcasm like this one in this video. Unnecessary sarcasm simply makes it more confusing and unintelligent. But Russian loves it.
There’s no sarcasm here, I was giving real examples of popular content pieces for language learners. You can find plenty of those on KZread.
Thank you for reply. But you first said "stop using simple word like хоpошo, use more difficult word" and then 5 seconds later you were saying that "use simple word, that's more natural". Exactly what are you recommending? I am confused. It's not a logical line of thought.
That's why I thought that you were sarcastic in the first part. Sarcastic means that you say something opposite of what you want to say.
Я студент! Спасибо Мариа Петрова

Hi Maria I hope you are well, I really like these videos ..they should not be so challenging for you right?? it would be nice if you still make them where you tell us how it is going with your son and family. at least I still practice listening :))
Thanks, I am happy to hear you enjoy the video :) I’ll be happy to share more stories like this! Although finding some uninterrupted time for recording, editing and publishing the video is challenging now to be honest😅
