I believe Blazer Brass are plated - a no no for your ports! Bad for the barrel and throws out lots of dangerous schrappnel. Take good care! Beautiful Bul!!!

Have you had any issues with your recoil spring coming out of place where it touches the barrel? Mine seems to keep falling out of place which causes the spring to be at an angle with the slide on, had to use a rubber mallet to remove the slide a couple times
The only issue I had like that was when I used an aftermarket stainless steel guiderod and spring. When I used the one HGW sent no, problems smooth as butter. The one I tried to use woule get hung up when I tried to take the slide off to clean. So I said screw it, used their supplied one. Are you using the one they supplied? Have you tried your OEM one? Experiment with them lemme know!

@Hawkeye11280 Yeah man try another one! I was having that issue with my G19 Gen 3 frame. Once I swapped back to the one they supplied was gtg. I bet the Glock stock plastic one is fine also. Good luck, lemme know if you get it sorted out! That was my only minor hiccup.

I believe I have a Holosun 407C Green Dot in this vid bolted on. They can be had for 240-260. Maybe even cheaper if you look hard enough. Solar back up on it also, good deal. Never loses zero been rock solid!

@lmSteveo The window ia certainly not the biggest, but I can track it fine. If you want a nice big window get the Comp version. The Comp version is gonna look bigger of course on the slide. Some like look some don't. I can still track the dot on the regular size Holosun windows, big the bigger the window 100% you can track it better during recoil 👍
How much louder is a ported barrel at an indoor range? Is it annoying to other shooters?
This is just my opinion... and I have taken out ported and comp'd pistols to the range. They are a lil louder but nothing that will rattle you the shooter at all. And as far as people around you, nobody cared at all. Didn't even register with others. Side not people talk about flash, ans being blinded. I can't see that being a REAL issue either. Your firearm will be a bit dirtier yes. You may have more crap in your nose also lol. But no biggie honestly. Hope this helps!

Very nice pistol! I already own a Dan Wesson Valor 45, the Guardian in 9mm is next on my list. Dan Wesson's in general are so smooth, its really hard to describe and I've never fired a nicer 1911 pistol ever! Unless a person actually handles and fires a DW its an experience like no other. Some have reported issues with delivery on the official Hooper Gun Works website. However, I had zero issues with their Ebay page. Everything went smooth as silk with fast shipping.
What ammo are you running? Heard it has to be a true FMJ, can’t be plated. ie blazer cci is a no go.
For my sessions, 115g winchester white box, blazer brass, herters and magtech if I recall. All ran just fine. 👍
@@LockBarrelLounge Roger over at qvo had a part 2 follow up video. Come to find out he might have ran blazer brass that left shards in the barrel, throwing off the accuracy. Blazer brass has it printed on the box saying not to use it in ported/ comp firearms.

They have an Ebay account, and sell their complete slides there also. I got mine shipped zero issues friend. I can't see how direct from them is any different. You should be good to go 👍

Don't mind at all. I'm using the standard spring weight for a G19. HGW sends you a stainless steel one in black. I had an aftermarket standard weight stainless steel guiderod and spring. That one shot bu got jammed up with takedown of slide. Went back to what HGW sent and it's been flawless. Barrel and slide are tight also no wiggle. Great cerakote. I cannot praise the set up enough for the price so far.

I just ordered a Glock 17 hgw slide. Hoping it works out.
Been flawless for me bro. It comes good to go, also use their supplied guide rod which I believe is steel just blacked out. I tried my own stainless and had issues getting the slide off to clean it. But with the one they supplied no hiccups whatsoever. Let me know how it works out!
I dreamed of one bought it loved how it felt in my hand sights were terrible for me also had A P07 and A P30SK so my pcr didn’t make the cut don’t regret buying it but wasn’t for me
Hey Tone wusup... yeah guns are funny like that. The sights can turn a person off. Where they naturally hit for you, if you could even see em. I upgraded to truglo sights I really dig em. Currently the rear is blacked out, front is enclosed fiber optic green. I might do a follow up vid to this gun. Appreciate you stopping by, dropping thoughts! 👍
It's a great gun. Expensive as hell, yes. I previously carried some form of Glock for 30 years (since I turned 21) until I obtained the 3.25" WC SFX9 in the 15-round variant. I have over 3,000 rounds through it, and it is my everyday carry gun. The bore axis is much higher compared to a Glock, but I don't notice any adverse effects from that, especially with the added weight from this all-metal firearm. The only issues I have had were cosmetic - I've worn a bunch of the DLC coating off the slide in some spots due to running drills where I draw from the holster and fire. Wilson said I could send it back and they will fix the DLC, but I can't be bothered. Wilson recommends replacing the firing pin at 5,000 rounds, and the extractor spring at 6,000 rounds. I really beat the hell out of this gun with + P and some occasional +P+ pressure rounds, and and just runs and runs and runs... I put 620 rounds through the gun in an all-day pistol class on one occasion. No problems at all.

I own it (minus the pic rail). I also own the EDC x9. I much prefer the grip on the EDC. The grip on the SFX is too squared off/brick-like. That being said, it’s a great carry.
Similar sentiments Luke! Very squared off grip. I think the EDC line up looks better with that medallion in the grip also. Better ergos. Great ergos for me... CZ PCR, CZ Shadow, Walther PDP also is nice. Those Wilson Combat grips for the Sigs also great. Fits in your hand like a puzzle.
@@LockBarrelLounge CZ PO1 owner. Yep that PO1/PCR grip is molded to the hand. Very ergonomic. Totally different feel to the Wilson. But, the feel, fit and finish of the EDC are first rate.

S2 is so amazing. I actually like the the nose heavy feel so I have g10 lok palmswells so good to me. If you want a little lighter double action pull try the 13 or 12 pound hammer spring. I highly recommend the thumbrest slide stop. Eeman tech is the one I got but SSI nitro fin is popular as well. I have a few 2011s and I dont think the shoot any nicer than my S2 but maybe your Bul Tac pro with porting might. 2011 trigger is a little faster but thats it to me. Try the S2 compact if you really want to blow your mind. Not as soft and smooth as the fullsize S2 but it is a great shooter.

I just got mine...same...5" pro....added the Holosun 507 Comp and about to throw on an X300U-A light. Was very easy to take down the gun with the allen key shaped spring capture tool. Just saw the ported and comp'd version for next year....kind of wish I knew about it before buying but maybe it will be absurdly priced. Sounds like you are in a mag capacity restricted state...should have shipped with four 20 round mags. My magwell has a small silver spot on edge too so don't feel bad. Mine was in a plastic bubble wrapped bag and rather oily. Barrel was slightly dirty possibly from test firing? Stock spring is 11 lbs feom what i know.

@@LockBarrelLounge no problem! I haven'tshot mine either yet but the window is HUGE and the reticle can be changed from anything as small as a dot to an open circle or bullseye looking target. It fit the RMR plate perfectly. Got it on Big Tex Ordnance for like $370? Yeah,same little chip of paint off the magwell corner....kind of odd will how well it is wrapped but oh well....gonna happen eventually either from carrying or a casing slapping it.
Oh wow will look into that model, 370 is not terrible for a reliable dot, larger window. Gotta help with tracking the dot faster accurate shots! Even with that older 407c I didn't lose the dot it was great. Yep those nicks will happen unavoidable for sure. I might do a follow up vid long term after I get a lot of rounds through it. I don't see any issues arising though. Gun seems so quality and sturdy well built!

Great job discussing this excellent optic! BTW, the "Minimum" or "Default" Brightness setting, that will still Auto adjust brighter if needed is ONLY available on the GREEN version. On the EPS Carry MRS Red it lacks that ability. Holosun says its because the Green Emitter is far more energy efficient, which is why they were able to give users more control and options.

Add the WC grip, then go to Magguts, get the mag spring upgrade. Turns your 12 rd mags into 14, they work flawlessly

How do I set a default base setting for the auto mode? It’s not mentioned on the manual. 6:16
I haven't fussed with it in a bit, but I know you hold the Plus button to cycle through each mode. Then when on auto, you should be able to press Plus or Minus a press at a time to the desired base brightness. I have done it 100% it works.
Thought the same thing that this would more of a range gun but somehow it became and still is my daily carry for years now. I would be interested to shoot one in 9mm, is it picky at all with ammo?
I haven't had an issue yet... don't recall shooting JHPs through it though. But I have shot different FMJ brands 115 grain no issue. No break in period at all, smooth as butter! I carried it before so comfortable and feel great with it. I will keep it as a trophy and range piece tucked away only because I have several different carry options. Love that Guardian though!
Bro, i bought a brass one for my PDP Compact because i thought that only the brass looking one had weight to it. So, the other colors have weight as well? Im gonna get a blue one for my PDP F Series.
I might have to double check but the other ones are aluminum, they have weight yeah. But just not as heavy as the brass ones. It's like that trade off though because the colors can be hotness lol.

Would you add a hogue grip to the Wilson combat grip or would that be too much?
I think it would add quite a bit of thickness (love hogue btw). But what someone could do, is use thin bicycle innee tube rubber. Neatly cut it to size and wrap the grip with that, if you dig the rubberized feel! That works 100% and doesn't add much thickness to it. 👍

Living in an AWB jurisdiction the PC carbine was a very attractive choice being it’s one of the few semi auto centerfire rifles that gun stores here are selling to sell. Bought one shortly after I turned 21 and I don’t regret it. The shockingly wide array of aftermarket parts for this gun makes it very versatile.
How would you compare this to the legion version? I have a p226 legion and deciding if i should get this or the legion version.
