    I'm not a marine but I did do 26 years in the army, no I wouldn't do it again. Medical discharge, constant pain, 2-3 hours of sleep a night, and in constant fear of losing my benifits.

    Still gonna join the army reserves if they accept me an wave my charge, I either here I loved it or completely hated it, some great, successful, mentally strong minded men have came from our military an here in Florida I see a bunch of them. You someone like me that’s already been thru the suck needs people to be on my ass 24/7 to be the best version of myself I think. I didn’t grow up with a good family an not one male role model I know the military breeds great men If you go in with the right mind set, sounds like it just wasn’t meant for you bro or bad timing.

    This unfortunately is the reality for a lot of service members. I have fortunately been part of combat and operational deployment, which has made reenlisting a whole lot easier however, I have a strong feeling that I will never be on another combat deployment for the last 12 years of my career. I just really hope that the second half of my career is far easier.

    Wow and I thought that everyone in America admires the military and no one has a different opinion. For me, I find it sad that young people in the US have to join the army to pay for their studies. I really don't understand this blind adoration of the army, and I'm sorry, but the way American soldiers stationed in Poland sometimes behave is inappropriate....

    don't forget you are fighting and dying for BANKS! most people who join the military are stupid and/or evil. just facts! look at all the women who get raped in the military and nothing happens to the rapist, that shit gets covered up. people get MURDERED in the military and it's swept under the rug. favoritism, nepotism everywhere. I don't feel sorry for the people who sign up and are miserable, you are STUPID

    I genuinely think joining the military is a complete waste of time unless you have the desire to make it a life long career. Guys who enlist straight out of hs and just do 4 years are wasting their time, because when you go back out into the real world your military background will not and I repeat will not help you land a job. Most employers don’t give a flyingfuck whether you were in the military or not. The guys who go because of college are no offense very dumb. They waste 4 years of their lives doing something that has zero impact after those four years dealing with constant assholes. I get the military pays for most of the college tuition but if you go to a community college do 2 years you could literally transfer to university with scholarships from completing community college and there are grants to be had and you didn’t have to waste two extra years for nothing. For people who wanna be life long soldiers go ahead knock yourself out but guys who join just to get out in four years are not the brightest bulb in the tree. They literally waste 4 years for absolutely nothing

  • @michaelmiller7789
    @michaelmiller77892 ай бұрын

    Not a waste, it’s what you make of it. Nothing is given in this life. Take the opportunities given to you, develop and learn. Enjoy the ride, no matter how shitty it may seem. My active duty time was life changing, both good and bad; but I would do it all over again if I could.

    @@michaelmiller7789 You didn't rebuttal my point at all, you just gave me some fake general speech about nonsense. Either have a genuine come back to my point or shut up. My point still remains and remains true, IT IS A WASTE OF TIME, IF YOU ONLY DO 4 YEARS. FACT

    The military was good for some and not so good for others. You have to have a high BS factor and accept that you are a janitor if you are a private! It can be degrading at times. Field time was a break from the B.S. in garrison! 3 years of avoiding retard officers!😅

    I know this was a couple years ago but I’m still gonna comment. Trust me for his first time it’s not as bad as you think. He’s got good rhythm, speaking clearly and has stage presence. It’s harder than you think to slow down and enunciate. Especially when first performing. Takes lots of practice. Got laughs too man. Not bad Jerry 👏🏻

    I enlisted in the NAVY in 1996 and it sucked. I got an ELS from boot camp after 16 dats and it was the best choice I made. I got my college degree...got 17 online business, estate planning and communication, risk management and business consulting certificates. I raised millions in the private and debt funding markets. I founded a multi million dollar capital investment and consulting corp. I manage a tax exempt trust and have my own estate planning LLC. I travled and made my first 1mm at age 26. I am currently 48 years old and have no regrets. So you high school grads out there...THE MILITARY IS NOT WHAT IS WHAT YOU THINK IT IS. You have other choices.

    The only positive thing that came out of the military for me was that I picked up fitness. Depending on the job putting "Army" in your resume most likely HURTS you unless the employer is very Veteran friendly. I don't think the GI bill is worth it. Your mental health ROI is WAY higher taking out 30k-50k for college loans rather than joining the military. Almost all of my friends that went straight in college are doing way better financially.

It takes 100 bombs to make a good 15 minutes. Get back out there. Dont let this be the one and only, let this be the first and worst.

    14 years in the army and counting, across two different MOS's, both peace and wartime. "Basically a corrupt corporation" is exactly how I would describe your "sister service" too. At this point it's just about the money, benefits, and getting to the 20. That's the only reason why I think anyone should join and stick with it.
