Great technique and nice camera work. The first time I did a needle biopsy with a fruit, I never imagined such a small piece of tissue could grow so well...or at all! I just have to remember to let the flamed needle (if not straight out of packaging) cool down ;) Love that smash and twist tip. With fruit, I do a stab, twist, and then straight back out. I just imagine a drill bit in my head since it's so hard to see what the hell is actually happening at that needle tip.

Andy, hey brother. My business partner and I just purchased two 10x10 grow tents and the ventilation systems. In early 2000's I was part of Mushroom Science Laboratories in Kennet Square Pa. I developed methods of substrate running and fruiting that brought shiitake farming to 4 weeks spawn to fruit. We had specially formulated substrates but they were a lot less expensive back then. The owners sold the company to Campbell's soup and I went back to school for my Master's and PhD in chemical Engineering. I am completely sick and tired of the work environment and decided to start growing gourmet and medicinal mushrooms. We will probably film the building of the business. I have a High Pressure liquid Chromatograph, A Buchi Rotary evaporator apparatus and a nice supply of glassware that should help with extractions. I am In Pa but our business will be in Delaware. That is where my friend's farm is. I have some great ideas that O am going to try out and if they work they should transform the spawn and spawn running parts. They could fail miserably however ....Last week I got food poisoning from WAWA and I am still getting over it. I was hit by an F350 on my 1957 Harley Panhead and had my right leg nearly crushed in two. I crawled up the driveway feeling like I was drowning. The surgeons said I had the largest blood clot they had seen in 30 years. It broke loose and went to my heart and lungs. I am finally back on my feet again. I was compete in in classic physique bodybuilding when that happened and since I was laid up I gained over 100 pounds and turned into a f@t sh!t. I lost 50 pounds so far but I have a bunch to go. Since the food poisoning I decided to make my own lunchmeat and because I do not eat bread anymore I am going to eat tortillas. I know you can relate. I was looking for a meat slicer on Facebook and found a guy who just closed his deli and said if I buy his slicer he will throw in the grinder and the meat scale also. I am so psyched. The mushrooms and my own sliced meats for the family will be so much more healthy!! We need to talk sometime. I'll try giving you a call if I can find your number. God Bless and keep up the great work!!!

Hello, i like to learn things, and i can tell u that mosquitoes are attracted to carbon dioxide (CO2) because it's a key indicator of a potential host. When we breathe, we exhale CO2, and mosquitoes have specialized receptors that can detect this gas from a distance. CO2 signals the presence of a warm-blooded animal or human, which is a likely source of blood for the mosquito to feed on. This evolutionary trait helps them find their hosts more effectively 🎉

Hey Andrew!! I actually started a company in the early 2000's that did mushroom genetics and testing called Mushroom Science Laboratories here in Pennsylvania in Kennet Square. We got to a point where we would have to get much bigger or sell the company and have someone else put money into it. My two partners decided to sell to Campbell's soup and I started a lab myself that quickly got too big and I could not find any good help. I went back to school for chemic al engineering and with a PhD in biochemistry I definitely want to get back into mushrooms and mushroom growing. At one time we had the largest culture library in North America. I would like to go back to that life and I am starting a new lab. Thank you for the inspiration!! We need to get together sometime and sit on the poach and drink some lemonade.

That poor mycelium. Outsourcing a spiritual ritual to a machine seems very disrespectful. If it weren't for fungi, humans and consciousness itself wouldn't exist. The least you can do is gently shake the bag with peaceful intentions. I might sound like a hippie but I guarantee you that yields and potency would be far superior to machine shaken mycelium.
