Here is another solution, use a usb c to usb c to charge it. Most cases you are using the wrong type of cable. Do this first before tearing it down. I was at the same issue, I changed the cord now it works fine and stopped power cycling.

Im stuck between getting the rog ally and the lenovo legeon go? Is screen taring an issue on the lenovo due to the lack of vrr?
I've never had any issues with my Legion Go. Even with the ROG Ally X, I'm kinda finding myself leaning towards the Legion. The screen is just so much more vibrant and bright compared to both the ally models. As long as you use Vsync or limit your FPS below 144, you should be fine. Most games don't run over 144 anyways so you're fine either way. Great handheld all round.

It is an awesome device,after a couple of months I can say it’s the best Android Handheld now. The Battery is awesome,you can play the whole day after one charge. Also you have to consider after all when buying devices from Asia to have a good Customer Service. The Customer Service is always on time and on point. I can’t wait for the Odin 3 with Oled Display (i hope! and no bezel Display)

I’m happy the stick was added. I use it all the time for arcade games retro games that do not require precision. It’s just much more comfortable to use for longer play sessions.
In your panel tests, did you turn off shaders for the rg35xxsp? Shaders are on on all systems. When I turn it off, the screen gets brighter.
Use the white foam when you have to open the device up. I dont know why nobody uses them for that, not one YT video has done it.

I think once the hype settles people will realize the mini has way to many sacrifices for it only being 15% smaller and a minied screen. Worse battery , worse color saturation, worse ergos, smaller screen, bezels look bigger due to it being smaller, thermals are higher, louder, coil whine, bloom/vignette, no rgb, ect. TBH it really doesn't fit in a normal pocket, it's still going in a bag so it isn't like you won't be carrying a bag with either. So you might as well save $40 and get the Odin 2 unless there's some crazy use case where 15% is the difference between it fitting somewhere and not or you only play outside in direct sunlight. The Odin can play in the shade it's 500 nits.
$250. Then Maybe.
A tip for anbernic : never make a black model unless it's transparent.

The community is starting to get some nice firmware options for it now and Spruce got an update right after I finished filming. I'm excited to see where the A30 goes too. Amazing little handheld!
So I received a glass screen protector... Should I use it or not? The screen might break?
It has wavy lines on your screen if you use it. At least mine did, so I wouldn't recommend applying it. Absolute nightmare to get off.
Cavenoire is amazing game by Konami, I played it when I was 11. I've just finished it on one of my Miyoo Mini Plus (with hack translation to english). Currently playing Castlevania: Circle of the Moon on my A30.

I have both colors of the video! Unfortunately I had to return to the previous version, spruce 1.3.5. (Which is marvelous great so far). Thanks a lot Tenlevels! (I've tested it on my two A30 units). The most annoying thing is the brightness control that sometimes changes by itself at the lowest level. Version 1.4 is pretty good overall, but I think it's slower to boot the OS and to shutdown, I don't know... And it seems games boot time went slower too (maybe the navigation in general too?). The new function of holding down select for 2 seconds to save and turn off is amazing but still takes a long time altough very welcome. Of course I use a high quality micro sd card configured by using Rufus. Spruce 1.3.5 is blazing fast. I still think that if you save your state or simple leave the game (which Retroarch will save it's last position too), and go to settings then simply shutdown by pressing A, is much faster. But we all know Spruce is being worked on and will improve a lot more, thanks to Tenlevels with his amazing job, the community is grateful for this awesome CFW.
Is the latest version still metal case?
Yeah, both of mine have a metal front plate on them. To my understanding this is the latest batch. It's stuck down very well though and the lettering seems to be on there good.
Was the screen protector issue caused due to the fact that the provided screen protector was of a poor quality? I have A30 glass screen protectors from Mr. Shield (which are usually of a high quality) but am hesitant to install now.
I think it could've been from the wavy design on the screen itself. I personally wouldn't install it... But if you do lemme know how they fare in comparison to the one I installed.
What is the “audio fix” actually fixing?
I enjoy my A30. It is light, portable and easy to use with Spruce. Wished it had a better chipset and heat ventilation as it gets warm. It does play some N64 games, but I notice while playing Mario 64, it gets so hot that it turns off the device after playing for quite some time. Overall for around $25-30 it’s not too bad. I would not use this for PSP. Maybe some Dreamcast and N64 for a limited time use. Everything else below that is fine.
Great to hear you like it mostly so far. Yeah it's definitely aimed more at older retro stuff.
@@KeiRetroGaming Yeah this made me pull out my Miyoo Mini device which is a great device, but for something as small as a 2.8 inch screen, I appreciate more the ergonomics of the A30 horizontal form factor and the joystick. The mini is great but it does cramp my hands after awhile.

Hello, I have a retroid pocket 2, my store refused to show the games anymore, It never dropped a d is as good as the day I bought it. I reset it and now it refuse to load the retroid system at all now, how do I fix it?? Ty
Can you remap start and select in the firmware so you dont confuse start and select overall? I know you can change hotkeys in retroarch, but curious is the settings>keymap feature can do it.
Just double checked and unfortunately it's only to remap the face buttons and triggers.
@@KeiRetroGaming I've been messing with spruce all day after your video. It's been amazing and I bought one for my nephew so I can customize everything for him. The hold select feature to quick save is awesome. I really enjoyed the RG280V for the longest time, but the retroachievements and ergonomics are making me happy. I'm dabbling with n64 as a bonus and it's cool to see where the stick might be useful.

Are the dpads and face buttons the same as MM+ since there are many 3d printed parts available for the miyoo?

What's it worth? I paid $25 for mine, and that seems fair to me. Super portable, premium feel device and build quality, and impressive performance. Nothing else comes close.
The letters and the pin stripe rub right off. I was disappointed, honestly

Ultimate? Well, the rg280xx is way better but far from perfect. This video sucks...
It has more power, but still not enough to play systems above PS1 without issues... but it comes with worse(tiny) controls and it sounds like a box of tic-tacs(fixable tho with a bit of diy). Both handhels are good for the price, it's just a matter of preference.
10:13 As far as I can tell, Spruce already has the necessary overclocks set per system, so yeah no need to change this setting at all.
Ah good to know. Another reason to use it over the stock OS I guess.

Thanks for the feature on spruce! This was an older version where we had an additional boot logo. That spruce tree you see. That is now gone and boot time should be same as stock as spruce is a stock SD card overhaul with added features and optimizations. Cheers!

Great review Kei. I honestly love the A30. I'm impressed with the joycon. It has some additional resistance to that of other joycon style analog sticks which I find quite refreshing. I see people have started modding their A30s to remove the analog stick.
Happy to hear you like your A30 so far! I have to admit I've thought about removing it too but part of me knows it won't look as OEM with the joystick missing.
I don't really understand the joystick hate- I'm glad it's there. It pretty recessed and doesn't get in my way, and some games like mario 64 actually run pretty well. It's also better than the joysticks on anbernic devices- it seems to have less cardinal snapping. My only complaint is the joystick 'L3' button doesn't register which seems like a waste. Could've been useful for mappings.

How is psp emulation on spruce
Would it hold my steam deck + my 8"" tablet with it's folding stand case, both their chargers, some earbuds & a modest power bank?
I'm nearly positive the one I showed off in my Legion Go review would, but this is likely too small for all that. Double check my Legion Go review.
I need help my game is in English, but its latin when i open it i tried everything and reloading the files and can't seem to change the language. How do i fix this? Pkease help

Hi, great review! But i think the device charges even with usb c to usb c. I have been using my c to c phone charger with this device and it works no problem at all
Just got my Cube last Friday. It is FANTASTIC! I feel like the 1:1 screen is a prime example of a "Jack of all trades, master of none", and as someone who doesn't have 1 specific system they really want to target, it is pretty much exactly what I wanted. The only aspect ratio the screen doesn't handle well is 16:9 (PSP and Vita primarily), which unfortunately suffers pretty bad due to the overall screen size. I am not typically one to be bothered by letter boxing, but 16:9 on a 1:1, 4" display is just VERY small. Fortunately neither of those systems have many games in their library that really interest me, and this thing rocks for anything 4:3 or taller. Bonus points for DS/3DS as this is the only system with a touch screen that can functionally display the dual screens in the correct orientation and still provide a reasonable amount of real estate for both screens. The build quality is really solid, the screen is beautiful, the ergonomics are top notch. Really just can't say enough good things about this system. My one gripe is actually the speakers. They do get loud, and they don't clip at any reasonable volume, but they just sound so flaccid and lack any kind of depth. Everything is muddy and I feel a bit tinny. There may be some way to tune them with an EQ but I haven't messed with that yet. Otherwise, I feel like someone at Anbernic literally built this system for me and me specifically lol.

you should check out the rg556 its an anbernic device that has the same internals as the cube but a beautiful oled screen. The transparent blue is much nicer since the black gets smudging
