I like to archive good but overlooked music from mostly the DOS and C-64 era. I also have some footage from Diablo II, Minecraft and other games I like to play.
oh my god, you brought back my childhood memories. I used to play this game back in 2000s in my aunt's old PC. I was searching this for years and finally found it here. Thank you so much for uploading this gaming video.

I love the 1541 noise but the sound level could be a bit lower. The drive noise was definitely a background noise. Voiceover is a good choice. Scan lines are nice, and an important part of how gfx was designed. Had the image been crisp back then, they would have drawn differently.

I remember vividly playing U8 as a kid. The music often scared me, together with the dark, moody atmosphere. As a kid, I couldn't beat the game, because it was the first time I was exposed to old-school RPG, trying to figure out what's next or where to go. It was until much later when I read those FAQs (yeah... I had to rely on those) that I managed to beat the game, and oh it was so very satisfying. The music, the music is one of the best element of the game.

Like the whole ost of the game. The music is so mystical. Untypical for later DnD-games. You feel the 90s vibes in it. They dont make such great soundtracks anymore in modern games. You can feel a soul in those old games.

Man that was awesome and took me back! The only nit-pick i have is that this was not the BBCMicro! (which if I'm not mistaken was the original port?) Other than that - Great Work Arch-Angel! (and i know not many will understand THAT reference - and tbh i'm not sure myself if it was a legit title from experience but Google has just confirmed its existence so hey, I learned something for sure today!)

I don't understand why you don't like it in GM. The farts of FM synthesis make everything sound worse, even compared to bad instrument patches.
@Modighen Жыл бұрын
You prefer the crisp sounds of GM. You don't like the warmer sounds of FM. I don't think it makes it sound worse and for many, it's how they remember playing the game, even if it doesn't sound as "good." Luckily, there are a few channels which have it in GM format, so at least the others who like it that way won't be left out.
