  I avoided Alchemy for a long time until a few years ago someone was selling a used copy for very cheap. I'm glad I did! I did a workaround for the potions and I truly believe it is superior to the original rules. It seems like a potion is about $4. I will put in an extra treasure card - in addition to the ten action card setup - that is $3 or $4. That treasure card is the potion card. You don't have to buy it, you could buy that $4 treasure and not use it to buy potions, or you can also use that treasure card to cover the potion cost of cards. So it gives you access to the potion action cards of which I would use a max of two in a set.

  @@jacobjslee that’s nice, but some of us like potion as Is, and it definitely doesn’t bother me. Of course I wish there were more potion cards with some alternative ways of getting the kingdom potion cards, which is why I made my own fan based cards. But like I said I’m satisfied with Donald’s idea of the unique cards in this set. I like the status quo.

  @Animal_board_gamer Right. Take it or leave it. I thought the reason this set scores poorly is because of the potions and Possession - that's how I felt. I needed to come up with my own solution for the potion problem, so I did.

  The dividers you didn't know what they are for, they are used to divide the cards for each expansion in the Big Box! Infortune if you sleeve them, the automa won't fit there 😔

  Oh okay, don’t have the big box anyways. And no I’m not a sleever. I actually was able to fit both prelude and prelude 2 in my regular box. And I was able to put Venus next into colonies box.

  I'd have to go through this thought experiment carefully to decide how I'd rank the sets. I know that Cornucopia, Allies and Menagerie are in the top tier while the bottom tier would include Seaside and Plunder (you know what those two have in common?). We're all different, but we all love Dominion!

  @@jacobjslee they both have a ocean theme. While we still haven’t had a northern theme, which is why I made my own fan based expansion. Which is called snowline, you can find it in my dominion playlist, boy do I gotta update my playlists.

  Hi, the first pack that you opened has the promo cards, and that's the meaning of the bottom left, it is used for promo cards, and resources like asteroids or graphene are like animals or microbes, special resources that can only be on cards, there's a number of them since the base game, also like floaters, with were introduce in venus next, but also appear in colonies, and you don't need an expansion to play with them, unless the card says otherwise

  Thanks. Yes i realized that the graphene resources, nomad and cathedral resources didn’t require any expansion to play after I looked at them further, after the unboxing. I also guessed the the black dots meant promos after my unboxing. Good to know that for sure though, i guess i was mostly confused the promos were in the prelude 2 box. If they were not in the box i would have assumed they were the stretch goal promos.

  This was painful. Those cards with the different tracks were meant to be inserted into that automa dual layer board. A piece of me died when you didn't do it.

  It’s good to play solo, to help learn games. You should always play solo at least once before you introduce a game to other people. Especially if you plan to make how to play video.

  Sure it's a spider? At first glance it really looked like an octopus. Pigeon abilities look very strong, so it makes sense their dice have a low chance (1/6)

  What I did was put 2 copies of ark nova and empires of the void 2 on top of my cards and left them on top for several days and after they are still warped! Unfortunately it seems the only way you can flatten them is if a hippo sits on them for a week. So warped is how they will stay. What we need is some resin sleeves, hopefully someone will make something like that for them on Etsy.

  You may want to consider a more subdued neutral neoprene mat design to review on, its very busy and colorful, often confusing the current game’s art with its own. Its acting as camoflage if you will.

  Yeah normally I only use the my dice tower mat during unboxing videos, but forgot to move it out of the way a few times. I’m not perfect, of course I’m going to forget to move it occasionally. Plus this is a solo gameplay it’s not the actual how to play video which doesn’t have the dice tower mat.

  Thankyou so much for this. I find so many how to plays just go so fast and assume we instantly understand what they’re saying. I have adhd and they often lose me! You speak slowly and explain each piece thoroughly, with examples too. Has made a huge difference for me. THANKYOU!

  Yeah I also have a friend with ADHD, and I personally have asbergers syndrome which means I usually take more time to explain stuff and why I’m usually through. However they have been some who don’t like it, because they consider it rambling on. I can’t make everyone happy, but I’m glad I was able to help a fellow mentally disabled individual like yourself.

  Sorry I don’t own splendor duel. I didn’t even ever own splendor, I was just borrowed my friends copy for the video, they also have the expansion, which also did 4 videos on. But yeah none of my friends own splendor duel. I personally only own a few 2 player only games. I’m not a huge fan of 2 player max games. But you know the dice tower crew or Rodney smith probably have made an excellent how to play video, however the dice tower crew call them reviews.

  I hadn’t thought of that! That’s true! Taxman does gain you a card that goes on your deck. And with footpad in the game, you get to draw a card when you gain a card with taxman. Still it would require you always play footpad and taxman together. Taxman on its own is horrible.

  love dominion, i have the base game, intrigue, seaside, prosperity, empire and renaissance; however, we play each expansion by itself, or maximum we combine two together, it is a real big hazard searching for cards in 6 boxes so we tend to play each one alone or maximum two; i have the same problem with Aeon's End as i have all the major boxes; due to this reason, unfortunately, we don't get them to the table as much as we love to

  Thanks for the video, nice and clear. Just would like to point out on page 25 of the rulebook regarding trust, that the first time you slide from high to low or visa versa, the only effect is for the trait tiles to be flipped, if you then subsequently had to go down on trust whilst low, then you would lose 2 focus or gain 2 if your trust is high.

  I like Guilds a lot, but the overpay mechanism is not very interesting or useful, in my experience. That part of the set was actually kind of disappointing for me. But some of my all-time favourite cards are in Guilds like Advisor.

  Before making an instructionla video, make an outline and practice your spiel before turning on the camera ...organize your thoughts instead of rambling along.

  If you don’t like my rambling, no one says you have to watch my videos. I’m doing the best I can. I’ve tried practicing but it doesn’t change or improve my videos I still tend ramble. I’ve tried following an outline but then I end up talking extremely slow and so then the video ends up being 30 minutes and when I don’t follow the outline after doing it again it becomes 10 minutes. You see I’m mentally disabled and when I’m trying to explain a game and look at outline it becomes multitasking, and I completely fail at multitasking. So I have to just explain from memory, and yes that causes rambling, but trying to follow an outline and show you stuff that’s in a game is impossible for me to do at the same time and is even worse than rambling. Like I said there are other KZreadrs, who have more experience and the help of a crew of people, the dice tower. I recommend watching them, if you can’t handle rambling. I know I’ll never reach them by myself, and I’m fine being small tier. I make these videos for fun. I know you were just trying to give me helpful advice, but as you can see I ramble on everything I do. If you saw the text messages to my folks you would get a headache it once took 20 minutes for one of my relatives to read just one of my texts. When your living animal encyclopedia like me you can’t help but ramble about.

  Another thing you can add to this strategy is the Red Deer card because it basically does the same thing as the Sycamore tree with bonus points for each plant card you have in your forest, these can really boost your end score and can be played for free with a wolf card (which, in addition, also amplifies the antler animals card points).

  I’ll make sure to remember that when I revise these strategies. The alpine expansion adds a couple more strategies and makes the other strategies much easier to pull off and much stronger.
