Per the Charley project, here's the BackStory: Robinson was eventually charged with three counts of murder in Kansas, including Lisa's presumed homicide. Authorities believe Robinson murdered Lisa in order to use Tiffany in his baby-brokering schemes. Her remains have never been located. Robinson's wife testified at his trial in 2001 regarding Tiffany's whereabouts. She stated that she remembered her husband bringing an infant home to their residence in January 1985. She said the infant was dirty and Robinson did not have adequate supplies to care for her. His wife said that she purchased clothing and infant supplies shortly afterwards. The baby was turned over to Robinson's brother and sister-in-law, who were unable to have children. Robinson's brother's family members maintain that they had no idea the child had been kidnapped. She has been raised as Heather Robinson. DNA testing performed in November 2000 determined that Carl Stasi was her biological father. Robinson was convicted of Lisa's murder and the murders of two additional women in Kansas in late October 2002. A jury recommended that he receive the death penalty for the other women's homicides, and life in prison for Lisa's murder. He is believed to be responsible for the disappearance of a former employee of Equi II, Catherine Clampitt, in addition to the disappearances of Lisa and Godfrey. Lisa's remains have never been located.
Robinson's wifes testimony as reported by CNN for CourtTV is wild. She talks about the baby and tells about the 2nd woman on the barrel during the episode. "Because of the dog-catcher thing," she replied, alluding to an animal control officer who had come to the mobile home community that afternoon to pick up two stray Pekinese dogs that have been identified as belonging to Trouten. Under initial questioning by Morrison, she said that the clerk in her office, Alberta, had received a phone call from John about the stray Pekinese. "She turned around and said, 'Your husband is playing dog-catcher. He wants me to call the animal control Officer." Robinson also testified about the baby that her husband had brought home in January 1985. One of the charges against Robinson is that he killed the baby's mother, Lisa Stasi, and arranged for his brother and sister-in-law to adopt Stasi's four-month-old baby, Tiffany. Nancy Robinson stated that she bathed the baby and her brother and sister-in-law came to pick it up the next day. Morrison showed the court a family portrait that was taken at the reunion. She said she had also visited the storage locker in Missouri where the bodies of three other women were found. She said she had noticed nothing out of the ordinary. During O'Brien's cross-examination, Robinson admitted that she knew her husband was interested in sadistic sex and had numerous affairs during their 38-year marriage. Twice, she testified, she came close to leaving her husband. The second time was in 1997 when she discovered he was having an affair with Izabela Lewicka, one of her husband's alleged victims, later found stuffed in a barrel on his rural Kansas property. "Probably in his briefcase, I saw a bank statement and a canceled check where he was paying her rent," she stated. "Usually when I found out about [his affairs], it was over. This one wasn't. I truly thought he would probably leave me for her." Robinson said she even visited an attorney about a divorce but didn't go through with it because of her granddaughter, who often visited their house several times a week. "This was a way of life for her," she said. "We were like a second home. I didn't want to hurt her."
