This is not the best pump on the market. It is the most expensive and breaks easily when installed incorrectly which is 99% of the time due to diy online sales and the customer not wanting to pay for a professional installer. To service this unit is also a nightmare. It is only made for clean water. Rather spend the extra money on an DAB Active Driver 1.0 M/T with a DAB K35/100 T or DAB K45/50 T. Once again, get a professional installer for this kind of setup.

Hi there, I have a solar water pump (180w, 12v) very similar to yours in design. I currently have no pressure tank, but i have a pressure gauge and when everything is closed and the pump is running it marks about 24psi (1.7 bars). My question is, if buy a pressure tank either a 3L or a 24L capacity, the pump will be pushing pressure to the tank upto 24psi or 1.7bars or gradually it will push even higher? say 30 or 40psi (about 2 or 3 bars). Thanks in advance.
@FilterShopZaАй бұрын
Hi, Basically when the tank is 100% full it will be at 1.7bar. Then as you use water from the tank it will drop in pressure until the pump turns on again. You would want the tanks air pressure set to just below the pressure where your pump turns back on again. say for example if your pump turns on at 0.5bar then pump the tank to 0.4bar.
@ronaldd.1355Ай бұрын
@@FilterShopZa Hi, thanks for your reply. Let me add some details. I have a pressure switch set at 30psi cut off and 10psi cut in, BUT, my pump without a tank pushes upto 24psi, I dont want to set it less than 30 psi because it will not start unless it's near 0 psi. My question is: Will I be able to build 30psi or even more with a tank like yours (wether it's tiny or medium size)?

Hi, Is it on a Mini3 that your having the problem? It sounds like the pressure loss is to quick for it to respond. The only practical option is to add a pressurized buffer tank to give it more time. I would think ideally a 60L tank, but something as small as a 24L could work.
