  How can i get my G90 to simulate wfm? Its only nfm... but if i use it on 11m. It dont work as good.. i have a mchf also..ok it a clone..but thst one has both wfm and nfm.. and is working as i want. Just why xiegu..why???

  @@Tamlin73 I’m not sure if it can do wide fm for some reason I wonder if they could add it with a firmware update on the g90 I’m not sure.

  I’ve seen some other videos about how the FTDx10 menu is more complex than the Icom 7300 but from what I’ve seen in your video it looks more logical than the 7300.

  What are your input and output settings on the G90? Using FLDIGI I get a ton of splatter when I hit tune. It goes all the way across the waterfall. WSTX-X works fine. FLDIGI it doesn't.

  I have a two month old FTDX-10 with the latest firmware update. I turned it on this morning and the red TX light was flashing. No transmit power and the auto tuner would freeze when activated. Pressing the tune button again would return the transceiver to receive mode but the light was still flashing. I only have the power cable and the included hand microphone plugged in to the radio. Turning off the power and unplugging it returned it to normal operation. Now doing a little research, I find that this is an issue with the radio. Hopefully Yaesu will have a firmware fix for it. Seems like it has been an issue for a while.

  Cool radio! I recently made Technician and soon will take the General. I’m enjoying VHF and UHF on the local repeaters, but I’m ready for some DX too. Once I make General that will open up the HF bands. Looking for a good, solid radio to work the HF bands.

  It has very sensitive AGC which amplifying internal noises. The only way to make sound like SDR should sounds - turn off AGC, and set up RF gain 1-30%. And yes, you will need to adjust volume for every single station).

  Yeah on Radioddity’s site however I believe it’s actually 4-8 watts instead of the 5-10 watts in the specs.

  Hi Josh thanks for the video. I just purchased the Ziegu G90 it hasn’t arrived yet. I do own the Digirig it’s amazing. I’ll have to order the cables soon. I might have missed it but do you have/ or made a video on how to set up the software for windows s with the Digirig and G90? If so drop me a link. I’ve been a ham46 years but never tried digital.   Do you realize that the difference between 5 watts and 4 watts is only .9 , that's 9/10 of a db difference? No S meter in the world will show that difference. So if you are S6 to the receive station, he will still see an S6 on his meter. Don't let the 4 watts out be an issue. Price? Yes, I get that. But you are getting a lot of radio for your money. Look at the Icom IC705. It's almost twice the amount and it has no ATU built in. Barry, KU3X

  I understand and that all makes sense, there’s a lot of radio technology in that radio such as its own tuner etc, I just wish all the big manufacturers of radios such as Yaesu Kenwood Icom and any other radio manufacturers would create radios like this and hopefully with the competition it will allow more choices for radios like that and also it should drive the price down some because of the abundance of those types of radios. Now I found some QRP radios without a tuner about $150 or so I think, I know the 6200 has a lot more features it’s just a big price difference.

  Good review Josh. I've been on the fence ever since this came out, mainly due to the issues some have had with it. I use to have the X5105 and loved it but sold it to a newly licensed ham and have been looking to replace it since. Your review has given me new insights into the X6100 but i'm wondering if it would still be worth purchasing with the 6200 coming out. I need to get a good light portable within the next week for a trip and this might just be it. Thanks for your video review. 73 W8MJL

  That's a nice setup. So many hams think you need big power to make long haul contacts. 20 watts with a good antenna is all one needs. Nice video. Thanks for sharing. Barry, KU3X

  I Passed the CW Test before it was done away with Straight Copy of 44 characters and I have never used it.I HATE the Noise I refuse to do any contact that’s not PHONE/VOICE on any band for Any reason. I can’t even copy my own call sign today and I don’t care.CW SUCKS almost as much as FT8 & FT4.🤮💩
