@@osirusj275difference in culture. Chinese do emphasis on eating as important aspect of life. They even greet people by asking "have you eaten yet?" There's also idioms such as "手停口停” which loosely translates as "hand stop, mouth stop" . It actually means if you stop working, you wont have food to eat. And eat here actually means 'survive' rather than act of eating. So when the word ship represented by characters 8 mouths on a vessel is not wrong because you have 8 living persons. They need to eat to survive. 😂

Ill tell you now why the pope ruined the momentum of the first missionaries... 1. The catholic church is ruled by Satan. 2. Satan loves lukewarm Christians. 3. China is a long way from Rome with a mountain range separating the two places amoung other things. 4. There are a LOT of chinese people. 5. The pope knew that they wouldnt be able to control the chinese and keep them from becoming ACTUAL followers of Yeshua/Jesus. REAL Christianity (not Catholicism) would bring the chinese together and would eventually spell out trouble for the power that the catholic church had over the rest of the world. They wouldnt be able to stop the spread of the REAL teachings of Jesus once the chinese people really started to catch fire for the Lord. 6. Satan couldnt have this because his whole goal is to steal salvation from Gods chosen people. His church. If the chinese started spreading the word of God without the influence of the catholic church this would become even more difficult. This is why just a couple hundred years later in 1830 the catholic church started the whole rapture doctrine. Because if people believe in this, they can continue to be lukewarm Christians. They wont understand when the antichrist comes and bow to him thinking its jesus come to float them off in a cloud...

There is no "rapture" there is only the great tribulations and then the Son of Man will come at a time that no one except God knows. But the Coming of The Son Of Man will be visible for all mankind, just as lightning is visible from the west to the east. Matthew is a very IMPORTANT book. In it, Jesus warns the world concerning false prophets and remind us not to listen to them. He explains it in great details. I suggest everyone reading the Book of Matthew, whether you have never read it or you are reading it again. Only Jesus' Word is True, there are indeed false prophets in the world that try to falsely interpret the truth as recorded in the Bible. Truth is truth, just let it be! Those people's false interpretations can easily be rejected if you read closely the Bible and understand it with your heart and soul. Their narratives do not fit anywhere in the Bible, their narratives are self contradictory. Woe to those who put good for evil, and evil for good; sweet for bitter and bitter for sweet. God will take away those people's right to Eternal Life because they have taken words away from the Bible when they "teach". Jesus clearly says that "Whoever sets aside one of the least of these Commandments will be called the least in The Kingdom Of Heaven." "But whoever practices these Commandments and teaches others accordingly will be called great in The Kingdom Of Heaven" Jesus is the Only Way. Come to Him, reject evil, heed no false doctrines. The perfect doctrine is already here, through the life of Jesus Christ, which is well recorded in the 4 Gospels and other books in The Bible. READ THE GOSPELS!!!!!!! The Gospel of Matthew is very important to this generation I believe because many people including those who think they are Christians have been missing out on the important Commandments and Wise Teachings that Jesus has said. Yes I challenge you with the Word of God. Only the Word of God will stand in the end, believe me. His Salvation is for our good. God does not want us perish with this corrupted world of sins. There is Truth, right from the beginning, right now, in the future, and in all eternty. Remember Jesus is The One Who was here before everything is created. Just as Jesus appeared to His disciples after His resurrection, He could be in Israel today, and tomorrow in China, Russia, or Turkey. There is a definite possibility that He could be anywhere He desires to be, according to the will of God. This understanding of God's nature should inspire us to remain vigilant and open to His presence and work in our lives, no matter where we are.

I’m not sure about the rest of the characters, but you can find that story about “boat” in any sermon in an English church. I’ve heard it before and seen that character explained before. Given that his audience are all Chinese and grew up writing those words at school, they’d be able to pull him up on it if he was wrong.
