New videos dropping every Saturday (and then some)! Tutorials for aerial silks and aerial hammock tricks, choreography breakdown, aerial questions answered, rigging help, and more! Let me know what you want to learn next!
How big is that hammock you are using? My 5 meter hammock appears to be too short to pull this off.
@theaerialistsguide4 күн бұрын
At the longest, my hammock is about 11 meters end to end or 5.5 meters from hardware to the bottom. In this video, it may have been rigged a bit shorter to maybe 4.5 meters hardware to bottom of the hammock.

These are great tips that I wish I'd heard in my early days. I would like to add being sure to hydrate! I have found that when I'm drinking too much coffee or tea and not enough water, I'm way more likely to bruise, feel pinched in wraps, or dizziness from spinning and inversions.

I'd love a breakdown of the optimal pullover. I'm watching the first few seconds of the video over and over to watch what you are doing, I'd love it narrated. It looks like you are grabbing at shoulder height, doing a bit of a pullup to get to a tuck, then leaning back and bending at the elbows whole holding the tuck at 90 degrees until you are over, and then it becomes more shoulder movement and inertia. What else am I missing?
@theaerialistsguide3 ай бұрын
Hey there! Yeah, you got it! I do have a video you can check out breaking down "the optimal pullover" here 😊: kzread.info/dash/bejne/jKSCxMyBqsuWl7w.htmlsi=Hw6RhaJEkJamL8yS The big key is that kind of upside down pull up. Nobody really explained that part to me back in tumbling class and it took me forever to get a pullover. But I realized later it was just that I needed to make sure my hips were above the bar (or hammock in this case) before you can start tilting back. You can also do it with some momentum swinging your legs up into that pike or tuck position while simultaneously doing the pull up and tilt back. I hope this helps!

But they sell the same fabric online now (cut to length). I recommend calling or emailing just to make sure it's in stock and they can ship to you. qizzup.myshopify.com/products/aerial-silks-new Another favorite for aerial supplies is Aerial Essentials.
