For a while, Face Dancer was the house band at the Seagull Inn in Essex. Everytime they were there, so was I. Actually, I was a fan when they had a keyboard player, David Long. Carey was the drummer at that time. Carey would come from behind the drums and sing when they did a song called The Birthday Boy. I knew he would be a great front man.

Back in the mid 70s, I heard of this band and scored a cassette tape of them. My band learned a few of their awesome songs and played them at out gigs. Many people would ash about their songs we played and I would tell them the "SHOES". NO body had heard of them, but I tried to spread the popularity for them as much as I could. They were great. I played their music and songs up until 2015 oor so, when my band members began passing away and I also retired due to cancer. I was overwhelmed at the people, to this day who had never heard of them or heard their music, quickly want more. One of the greatest bands of the 70s!!!!

When I was in HS in the 80s this was a radio-only 45 rpm and almost impossible to find. You had to hope your local used record shop had a good relationship with the local progressive rock radio station. I used to lose my sh*t every time it was played and crank it way the hell up. Once file sharing sites like Napster made tracks like this available, it was THE first song file I downloaded, and it had a skip in it. Did not care. It was clean in every other way, and I still listen to it to this day, skip and all.
