Charging is the most critical factor to me… Anything other than Tesla superchargers adds a whole level of vulnerability and worry. Also, Tesla is intuitive. You don’t have to turn the system on or off, regen is always on, anything the system can figure out for you it does. For me there is no comparison.

Tesla for sure. Non pretentious smart and hip choice. The Audi and Nissan were already built outdated. No dog mode, Supercharger routing or an amazing app. It's still years ahead. Your wife is extremely sharp. She could have chosen Audi to show off but shes well grounded and doesnt need a premium German brand to compensate. Clean and stylish is a perfect description of the Tesla.

Always love when you bring the wife in. She sounds like an average person buying a car. Curious if you will bring in the Cadillaq Optiq as it would just be on when she gets into the car like the tesla, but gives her that more luxury vibe, and what about say the Honda Prologue. Your wife like the utility of sport utility vehicles, but she doesnt not seem to be a high maintenance person.

Jen - I'm keeping my 2020 MYP as well. It's still the best product out there. I might even trade up for a Juniper next year. I dig the utility and they're so simple...point and shoot, u don't even think about it anymore...it's just efficient. All these new ones are kind of bummers TBH. IMO, the Silverado (Sil-EV-Rado?) & Rivian are the only ones close. I just wish elon would come back to the light side, the love side, the rational side. Just imagine if Covid never happened and he got all butt-hurt over masking for a few weeks. If not for that one event, things may be much different today. Such a small man, I'm not mad...just disappointed, really, really disappointed. It's hard to continue supporting the Art, not the Artist...but it's still a damn good product, an until that changes...I'm still a FanBoi...but moreso with Hans, at least that's what I keep telling ppl. Good to see ya. Hope the house is coming along well. Curious to see how that pool house will do in the hawt summer heat.

I recently rented a model y on Turo because me and my wife are looking to go electric. Everything about the car was great except that 4 times during our drive using traffic aware autopilot, it pushed on the breaks pretty hard there was a car in front of us but it was no where near close enough to break that hard. I'm not sure if that's the phantom breaking issue or just how AP works. I haven't heard much on it so I'm not sure.

  • @BenSullinsOfficial

  • @Salty1952

My 2023 MYLR does the same thing. It's easily predicted after awhile you just get ready with the accelerator pedal and smooth out the slowdown or just overcome it by pressing harder on the pedal. Sounds weird maybe, but it's intuitive eventually. I remember Jennie talking about phantom braking quite awhile ago. I think that might be due to the camera not being able to see the road ahead. I have zero complaints about my Y. And then there's the charging network... Road tripping is easy.
