Has she had a chance to see the Rivian R2? I’d be interested to see what she thought about it compared to her model y.
Soon
Have you tried the Cadillac Lyriq? Aside from being the side of a Model X, it is quite impressive and a decent price before tax credits
No, haven't tried it
You and your wife must be instant torque enthusiasts. If I owned one it would be in chill mode 24/7
Smart man, letting the missus do the review...
Good choice on Tesla model Y
What I like most about your videos... the casual back and forth banter between you and your wife. No selling. No fluff. Just a honest conversation about the competition vehicles. Kudos to the two of you.
What did Nissan fill the front with, that it has no frunk?
Lots of metal boxes
Just ban all Cars!
I’m not surprised that she likes the MY. The Audi is far too expensive for most of us, and in fact I’ve been seriously considering buying a used one because of Tesla’s ability to improve with age. Good video!
Wow you Wife Told it Like it is I did think she would say the first one but no she still Chose the Tesla That Did Surprises me I Guess she a No Frills kinda Girl lol Great Honest Review thanks
Charging is the most critical factor to me… Anything other than Tesla superchargers adds a whole level of vulnerability and worry. Also, Tesla is intuitive. You don’t have to turn the system on or off, regen is always on, anything the system can figure out for you it does. For me there is no comparison.
So happy my Rivian works at Superchargers now
Will watch Jennie in any video. Her perspective is invaluable.
This video interaction between you and your wife reviewing these EV suv's getting that female impression is epic . I think you should do it on a regular basis
Hey Ben & Jennie, Thank you both for the honest reviews. Nice to see you both :)
Tesla for sure. Non pretentious smart and hip choice. The Audi and Nissan were already built outdated. No dog mode, Supercharger routing or an amazing app. It's still years ahead. Your wife is extremely sharp. She could have chosen Audi to show off but shes well grounded and doesnt need a premium German brand to compensate. Clean and stylish is a perfect description of the Tesla.
Always love when you bring the wife in. She sounds like an average person buying a car. Curious if you will bring in the Cadillaq Optiq as it would just be on when she gets into the car like the tesla, but gives her that more luxury vibe, and what about say the Honda Prologue. Your wife like the utility of sport utility vehicles, but she doesnt not seem to be a high maintenance person.
Could be the start of a new series
Hi , we have two Ioniq 6 for the last year , we love them , have you tried them
Not yet! I did love the EV6 loaner tho
That’s a wrap Let’s go eat!
I love my refreshed M3 LR. I love the tech and minimalism they are fantastic. The car is ridiculously fast. Only get Tesla from now on
I always appreciate Jennie’s observations, but I’d opt for an E-GMP model.
Why’s that?
The music edited in is very loud compared to the rest of the video
When is she gonna test drive the new Macan EV?
Not available in the press fleet yet
Your wife would love the nio cars. If available in America.
No Chinese EV manufacturers sold here.
Audi French turd.
Jen - I'm keeping my 2020 MYP as well. It's still the best product out there. I might even trade up for a Juniper next year. I dig the utility and they're so simple...point and shoot, u don't even think about it anymore...it's just efficient. All these new ones are kind of bummers TBH. IMO, the Silverado (Sil-EV-Rado?) & Rivian are the only ones close. I just wish elon would come back to the light side, the love side, the rational side. Just imagine if Covid never happened and he got all butt-hurt over masking for a few weeks. If not for that one event, things may be much different today. Such a small man, I'm not mad...just disappointed, really, really disappointed. It's hard to continue supporting the Art, not the Artist...but it's still a damn good product, an until that changes...I'm still a FanBoi...but moreso with Hans, at least that's what I keep telling ppl. Good to see ya. Hope the house is coming along well. Curious to see how that pool house will do in the hawt summer heat.
I feel the exact same way!!! I do not like Elon Musk, but damn that Tesla is SWEET!
I agree with the others that have commented.... Why are you asking her to pick the 2024 Nissan, 2024 Audi, or 2020 Model Y???? Why didn't you let her test drive the latest 2024 Model Y ?? Come on Ben.....
Would the result have been different?
@@BenSullinsOfficial -- Nope. But for the 'viewers' looking for comparable options it would have been nice to see her reaction to the 'new' Model Y vs. the others. I usually try to compare apples to apples. Not an apple today with one purchased 4 years ago
Good for you! 👍
Thank you
The Audi did not seem as premium as I anticipated. The rear cargo area is very elevated and I don't think a large dog would be comfortable back there.
The model Y is not more 60 000$. It's now 47 990$ before Federal Tax Credit. Be carful with the fact please.
Configuring a new one with these exact specs is $67,803 after taxes and fees, $59,990 before. Keep in mind this video wasn't a general recommendation for the best possible scenario, it was specific to our situation.
Also the ayria has different trims too so it can start at 45000 to 60,000
@@BenSullinsOfficial Ben I am glad you posted it has a range of prices. Your test car is the 2nd level and the platinum is the highest. Nice you got cars to compare. It would be nice if KZread could block people who want to bring up Tesla when a car is not a Tesla.
someone tell car companies that making electric cars wheels not ugly is not punishable by death
Let her try a Rivian..
When the R2 comes
an R2
Every time I see your wife I want to say Jennie like Forest Gump🤣
I wished we had in Ireland US prices, its like car dreamland :) Audi would be my choice, but the Q6 Sline
I recently rented a model y on Turo because me and my wife are looking to go electric. Everything about the car was great except that 4 times during our drive using traffic aware autopilot, it pushed on the breaks pretty hard there was a car in front of us but it was no where near close enough to break that hard. I'm not sure if that's the phantom breaking issue or just how AP works. I haven't heard much on it so I'm not sure.
It might be the version. A year or so ago we had terrible phantom braking but it's since been fixed
My 2023 MYLR does the same thing. It's easily predicted after awhile you just get ready with the accelerator pedal and smooth out the slowdown or just overcome it by pressing harder on the pedal. Sounds weird maybe, but it's intuitive eventually. I remember Jennie talking about phantom braking quite awhile ago. I think that might be due to the camera not being able to see the road ahead. I have zero complaints about my Y. And then there's the charging network... Road tripping is easy.
@@BenSullinsOfficial Ok. it got me a little worried. But me and my wife loved everything else about the Y so we're def leaning toward it.
I’ve been seriously considering renting a Tesla on Turo as well! There’s a guy locally who rents his MS and M3, so I’ll probably try both.
Will she try a new 2024 Model Y since the comparison was against other new EVs?
Looks like it'll be 2025 before the "Juniper" update comes, but yes
Seems like a good series - Jennie tries out; where she provides her take on one high end and one mid-range EV and whether she would switch. I'm curious what her thoughts are on the BMW iX (to be fair I'm biased on that one - traded in my wife's model x for the BMW.)
They are fire selling those (they are lot sitters). You can lease them for a steal.
@@doomsday9973 90k for 2025 models doesn't feel like a fire same. What are you seeing?
Great choice I don’t think the y can be beat in the us yet. Until the new y comes out;)
Agreed, unfortunately it looks like that's at least next year now :(
@@BenSullinsOfficial I know I was bummed about that as well I picked up a 3 refresh for now, tell Ricky roy I said hello if you see him anytime soon and when I come visit him hopefully this year we can all hang out. Have a good one brother
If you like the muted more "refined" drive then try the 2024 Model Y. It is more tame and boring than my 2020 was :(
Ageeed the new Y suspension is so smooth compared to my 2019 3. It’s too soft because I like sporty feel better imo
I wish they would bring emotes back. So toxic when I would wipe a duo and either pull the mistletoe out and make smooching noises or pull the grill out and "cook um". BO was where I started...I loved it! Also, no loadouts, yes please. Way more traditional BR style. 💕😚
living in Ireland. Looking at battery systems. Bluetti seems to have their finger on the pulse! thanks for doing the low budget battery. Shane, Tipperary, Ireland
What kind of speakers do you have?
Myths aren't solved. Mysteries are solved. The mystery here is no rational explanation for this guy's claims. The car isn’t that heavy. His right foot is heavy, most likely, and he grinds throigh high-g turns, probably.
Clueless bulshit about Tesla cars... To heavy etc rip the tires apart etc. Three of my friends have Tesla's and don't have any of these problems with well over 500 kms
The S increased by $1000 and the T has the same price as the 2024 models and were decontented - wood removed, speakers removed etc
On the forums this is called the Gen 1.2 because customer facing changes are not that extensive
Totally shocked they didn't include a 230v plug in the back. Such an obvious win from everyone else
That interior is DISGUSTING 🤢
What year is this
I don't quite understand the $850 bill, when you had solar and batteries? maybe you could elaborate further on that.
Yeah You are right 🤣🤣I recon Selfdriving will come faster than Fusion. But I Like to drive and Zone out🥰 Tesla allready have the best obstacle avoidance on the marked. But selfdriveing is on Elon Time as usual🚀But he usually get it done in the end Look at the Starship from Tiny rockethopper 5 years ago to a 120M tall Monster going to space! Mindblowing
