  Glad it helped! You could consider using an INBDE material to help with clinical sciences, since both ADAT clinical sciences and INBDE have case-based and rote memorization questions on clinical sciences. Feel free to check out my INBDE video :)

  I recently cleared my INBDE exam in May 2024 was planning to give ADAT...so its already june can I give it in august? For how long ADAT scores are valid?? can I apply for next cycle of dental program with same scores? Plz can you answer these questions ...thank you in advance

  It may depend on the program but according to University of Toronto's website today it says, "You must have taken the ADAT exam within three years before submitting your application." SO I would think you can still use your scores for next cycle, but I would always check with each program.

  i recently took the exam and got ADAT overall 82 % . i must say the exam is tough especially in the biostatistics portion in which they added topics like dental insurance , medicare , even some difficult questions regarding confidence interval .

So for biostatistics I had 0 background knowledge and did well using just the videos that I have listed at the end of this video and also using ADAT KO for biostatistics practice questions. This is what I would recommend. I watched all the videos first and took notes and studied those notes, then I did all the ADAT KO practice questions for biostats.

  hi doc i have an question regarding the biochemistry section regarding cycles TCA etc and more depth or adat KO reading for this section questions is enough . ONE more question for the clinical section Did you use BOOTCAMP paid question series ? cause i just passed INBDE and found the clinical section similar to BOOTCAMP clinical question .will this benefit ?

  Hi, thanks for the message. I have not used Bootcamp INBDE but it is probably great since Ryan from Mental Dental was involved in creating it too, and I loved Mental Dental. For biomedical sciences, I really do recommend B&B. It helped me so much. It's been forever since I took the exam but I do remember for example a specific question on an enzyme involved for glycolysis compared to gluconeogenesis being asked...if that gives you an idea.

  While also meso compounds are achiral, not all achiral molecules are meso. Meso must have two or more chiral centers AND a plane of symmetry. But a molecule could simply be achiral and not be meso, such as by not having any chiral centers. Chiral molecules rotate plane-polarized light, while achiral molecules do not. So meso molecules, in that they are always achiral, do not rotate plane-polarized light (optically inactive).

  Thanks lexi but for microbiology the past dental exam serial its not free in youtube...and its not completely..for example : staphylococcus is 8 min but for free just you can see 4min of that..are you buy it ?I don't know now what should I do..

  Hi, so we only have to show wedges/dashes if it is a chiral center. So being a terminal carbon, it is not a chiral center, so we would NOT have to show wedges/dashes, but I do in the video in order to make an emphasis on what the stereochemistry of the two halogens are relative to one another. Hope that helps :)

  Yeah it did the same for me and for everyone else. You should just be learning what you can from ADAT KO. Do not worry about the score.

  So if the brominum ion is on a wedge, that means that the second bromine that attacks will attack opposite, on a dash, since there is less crowding. If the brominum ion is on a dash, then the second bromine attacks on a wedge. This is why the stereochemistry of the final product will always be anti.

  Hi! I only would study head and neck anatomy for this exam. For physiology systems (i.e. nervous system, musculoskeletal system, etc), I think B&B Dental broke it down in a very focused and easy to understand way. Same with their section for systemic diseases, focused on the highlights. I drew pictures to help me remember concepts or tried to come up with a funny phrase to remember certain diseases. Talking it out loud also helped me a lot. But I really think B&B Dental's book was amazing for me personally for biomedical sciences.

  Hi, that is a great question and maybe others could comment. I honestly have never seen Kaplan's or Mosby's, though I have heard of them of course. Maybe others can comment on those. First Aid is very dense, and I did think it covers biomedical sciences well, but B&B Dental is much easier to comprehend and better laid out in my opinion. I did not use Dental Decks so I cannot really comment on them either. Best of luck on your exam!

  I recommend the book by B&B Dental for NBDE Part 1! I tried First Aid, but I liked the B&B Dental book more - much easier to follow and faster to study. You can use my code to save money on it, and it includes flashcards and videos too! Highly recommend.
