The first Solo I heard from Necrophagist is Fermented Offal Discharge, brutal yet beautiful, the second is Advanced Corpse Tumour, the solo sounds beautiful and sad, really fits with the lyrics, and the 3rd is Diminished to Be , unexplainable emotion, this is top 3 solos that will remain highest of technical and melodic solos in my humble opinion, too bad they disband when I just start listening to them, Muhammed really vanish just like Avatar lol

One of their favourite bands was apparently Carcass. The stabwound solo is clearly heavily inspired by carcass from their necrotism album
@efishta Жыл бұрын
Man, I'm so old I've forgotten most of the bands I used to listen to. Carcass' and At the Gate's reunions concerts were absolute huge highlights of my youth. My only regret was not being able to catch Pantera before Dimebag's death - he's playing somewhere down in heaven or hell, depending on Jebus' whims.

Got a new pair of speakers and Fermented Offal Discharge was in the top few I wanted to listen to. Necrophagist should still be a side project for such a talented artist. I understand he's now a software engineer - can't blame him. Can't make money in metal anymore. It's a passion project at best.
