I have a duo called the Zingers that plays Gershwin and klezmer music for elder housing and memory units with singalongs.

В Чернобыле всех лабухов учил Миша Ганопольский.Его внук Игорь довольно известный в Израиле и мире пианист. Но то такое... Так вот,в Чернобыле даже похоронные оркестры звучали как клейзмер-бенды.

Some of this is really Ukrainian. Was not sung in Yiddish. Just using the Ukrainian name for recognition. Most Ukrainians were Orthodox Christians. By the way 14 million Ukrainians were starved to death by Stalin who was a Jew.
Exploiting the Ukrainian culture. Okay, where did Klezmer come from? Taking from other Ethnic groups and taking the credit. Just call it Klezmer without association to a particular Ethnic group.
Great to hear young people keeping this art form alive.
From generation to generation!
Thank you for playing an old favorite tune.
Thank you for listening!
Wonderful music and wonderful fun.
Truly, a day we will not forget! A bat mitzvah can and should be as joyous as a wedding.
Bravo

Our favorite, too! We finish almost every show with it.

I saw you guys in Springfield, Illinois at first night (NYE) in 92 maybe? I was seven or eight and I sat in the front row with my dad and listen to this crazy music that influenced me over the next 30 years. You guys were and still are amazing. Keep up that crazy gypsy music.
I remember First Night in Springfield! I think it was so cold, the trunk of the car froze with the violin inside. Reading that we made an impression on you and influenced your musical career fills our hearts with happiness. Rock on!
Хорошо, когда люди любят свой народ.

Old souls love this music, happy-sad music of happy-sad humans, as we trudge up that "lonesome valley" but remember to celebrate the journey.
