    Hey mate, thinking of buying one too. Stock one is badly scratched and my heel keeps touching the heatshield all the time, same as yours. How are you happy with it, isn't it much louder then the stock one? I would like it to be as quite as possible. Thanks, and ride safe!

  • @AdventureBert

    @richardstruhar263 It's a bit louder than stock with DB-killer and perfect without DB-killer. My size 12 still touches but not as bad, I dented the pipe a bit and wrapped in black header wrap too prevent melting boot.

    I have D606s front and rear on my 22 450RL. They handle nice in New Jerseys sugar sand. But I’m thinking once I wear them out I’ll be trying a set of these. Did you get the 130 for the rear?

  • @AdventureBert
    @AdventureBert6 күн бұрын

    @butterytoast4836 I went with stock sizing for the rear. I would suggest if you ride a lot of rocky areas run the IT rear. The ST rear will get worn fairly quickly because of the softer compound. We just finished the Tat501 and 2 bikes had this combo and 1 had the IT rear, the IT held up a lot better after 650 miles and the ST looks like they will be toast at 1000miles. Either way the tires performed incredibly.

    @@AdventureBert there isn’t much rocks expect up north in New Jersey. Usually a lot of soft sand with mud and some hard pack here and there. I’ll definitely try both the I/T and S/T. I only see 130 size available for rear on Rocky Mountain. Do you recommend a place to purchase the tires from?

    I totally agree that the tail end is really ugly. However, it will provide something to attach a small bag to carry around stuff while you ride. I do wish MCycles were designed with a built in luggage compartment instead of a pillion seat. Couldn't they at least give us the option to choose since many of us who ride sport bikes usually don't carry passengers.

  • @AdventureBert

    I have a Giant Loop Waterproof rogue bag and have a klim backpack for days I need extra storage. That seems to work pretty well, you can run cinch straps underneath the rear seat for attachment points.

    in 2022 the road was nearly under water and was not an issue. It was sandy in 23. The secret is to leave the starting area as soon as you can. Don't get behind a hoard of jokers that stop in the middle of the road.. Get through it early and you can stop after.. That road really thins out the "men from the boys".. Its always a great ride though..
