Christina Welch is a self-taught mixed media artist originally from Western New York. Currently, she resides in the quaint town of Franklinton, North Carolina. Starting at the age of 4, she was taught crocheting by her grandmother. Since then, she developed a love for the Arts including bead painting, jewelry design, baking, and 39 years of experience as a hairdresser. She has also created a Facebook Group, ‘Pourage Posse with Christina Welch’, to help other artists with questions and talk about new techniques in the pouring community.
She has opened the doors of her “Pour’age” garage studio to teach her art techniques in one-on-one workshops. She also sells (locally and in her Etsy shop) her unique and exclusive art, beads, and jewelry.
While Christina has loved painting and drawing all her life, she only began pouring fluid acrylics about 7 years ago. Christina works exclusively in acrylics and primarily enjoys this medium to create beautiful pieces of abstract art.

I just bought some from Etsy. Do you have a video of when you mix them for blooms?
yes you can! They all work beautifully! Just a teaspoon is needed, sometimes less. They are very pigmented colors.
The video is great, but it has a small audience.
yes, most of my subs are here for paint pouring, not card making...... oh well
Love that you didn’t trim off the petals and leaves. I think it makes the card more interesting Christina❤
Absolutely beautiful!!! ❤
Thank you so much! I have many more to come!
So so pretty! Thank you! 🤗💐
it was a fun card to make, thank you for watching!
Hey! From a gal from the 60s, this was a groovy one!
At 14:49 you mentioned you sprayed it. May I ask what you sprayed it with ?
sprayed the back of the canvas with water to tighten it
@@ChristinaWelch ohhh OK. Thanks! I wasn't sure.
yes leave it like minimal
wow!!! So beautiful! lovely card
Hope you start feeling better soon. I know how it sucks to not be able to get things done.
Bonsoir ❤️💋❤️💋❤️💋formidable bisous 💙💋💋💋💋💋💋
Beautiful card Christina! Thanks for sharing
Thanks so much!
I love this card! ❤ beautiful flowers 💐
Thank you so much!
Oh my wow!!! So beautiful! ❤
Thank you so much!!
And Hello😊 Such a pretty card Christina! The prisma colors are so soft and beautiful.
Thank you so much! I love playing with them.....maybe too much...lol
@@ChristinaWelch 🤣
Hello Christina ❤
that is not going to be very green as you only used one layer of green, and mostly blues, then black and gold, at least two layers of all of those. I thought so, the green appears to be lost.....
how about a limey leaf green, pink, yellow and white
I wonder what you would get if you put your vase/cup set up on a turntable. Maybe you would have to put the turntable under your small canvass. You would probably have to use a level to make sure your vase was level when you fit it on the cup.
I would have scraped up and saved your left over colors that dripped off or got poured off of the canvas.
Those are beautiful - What’s the reason you torch it
to pop the surface air bubbles. Thanks for watching!
Thanks so much.
Wow…when you put on the last 2 flowers, it came to life! This card is gorgeous. Well, both are. Thank you! 💐🤗
Gorgeous Hibiscus…card. It’s beautiful Christina!
Absolutely gorgeous cards, Christina. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much!
Hello Christina. How are you? I just came across your card making videos. They are absolutely gorgeous. It's nice to see you and your amazing cards. Take care. Tell Allen hi. ❤
Thank you! You too!
So nice
It's blooming beautiful! ❤ Hope that container works out for your Gamsol. Beautiful shading on those flowers ❤
Turned out really beautiful ❤
Super cute, Christina! See you next Monday! 💐❣️
Thank you!
Brilliant video explaining everything, thanks for your time 😊🦋
You’re welcome 😊
I for sure would not use Walmart Grd meat!!!!
we don't anymore. We buy our beef from a friend who has grass fed. Funny how things in the recipe change after 3 years.
👍👍 James 😁
I will email you. I sent you an email a little bit ago with a few on order, tonight tho, I've picked 20 more.
What is PBO
❤
Paint splatters die cut from paint skins, how fun! Really cute idea. Boy, the puppies have gotten big! Aside from the cost, that's why we can't get another Westie. Have to go smaller with the next dog. Have a great week!
They are a handful Beth, but I'm enjoying all the fun. See you next week!
Christina! Very creative! Cool cards! I understand the bruises… I am on blood thinners also.
It's awful....ugh Winston grabbed my hand the other day and yep 2 more bruises. July can't come soon enough. I'll only be on baby aspirin after that. Bruising won't be so deep. Thanks for watching!
Cool card Christina! I love how you incorporated your skins into your card making! It is just fascinating to watch you create ❤Love you lady
Thanks so much! I have too many ideas in my head for future cards. Thanks for watching!
I love you used the paint skins! These are both so cute! Yeah..the thicker skins are tough but you made it work!
Thanks so much 😊 I think taking a layer of the paper off the back will help in the future. Thanks for watching!
That was super pretty! Thank you. Love that you are using the skins. 💜
Thank you! 😊 Gotta put those skins to use. I have more ideas!
These are soooo cute!!! You and I are so brain connected! I cut out skins this past weekend with dies!!... one thing another maker taught me years ago, put a layer of aluminum foil under your thicker paper... I couldn't believe how well it cut thru! You are such an amazing artist and I love how it is translated in the cards!! Beautiful! Love you!!❤
I'll have to try that Janese. I get inspired watching you create too. I'm not as deep as you, but I stop myself from going further. I try to remember it has to fit into an envelope....lol
What doe pvo mean for pouring
Pebeo, it's a paint brand
Your colors are gorgeous!
Just some “kindly” advice. A bit too much of the last color, black I think it was. It sort of took over. Plus on a palette as small as a coaster, I never use a blower, mouth blowing gives you better control. Definitely not criticizing your work as I know everyone has their own niche.
this was so long ago when blooms first came around. I have mastered the technique since this video. Thank you for your tips, but I am unable to mouth blow. I use a mini leaf blower now on coasters. Check out some of my more recent videos. You may find some useful tips.
@@ChristinaWelch I commented before noticing it was a 3 yr old video, sorry! Yes things have come a long way since then. I love the technique, I watch so many vids to learn as I’ve just started my painting journey at age 68.
These turned out so pretty!
Beautiful
Oh wow Christian, that is just beautiful. The colors are fantastic.❤🎉
Thank you! It's a fun way to stay creative.
How do you clean up the backs
What have you used for a pouring medium
Christina those Irises are GORGEOUS❤ Looking forward to seeing skins!!
Thank you Shelli! Hopefully coming soon!
