@Max Chambliss II Yamaha RX-A8A suppots 11.2 channels, so how is it possible to have 7.1.4 setup with upper speakers? Do you know what is a difference between those two setups? Will it be working good with 7.1.4 regardless of the 11.2 support?

instead of Yamaha and wait for a Eternity to get premium features for the price you paid for you should buy Denon or Marantz, for less price you get all the features a good receivers must have like the Denon X3800H for just 1,399 us dollars : Imax Enhance/Auro-3d/ DTS X-PRO/ATMOS/DIRAC LIVE/HLG, HDR, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and Dynamic HDR passthrough./4 independenttt woofers outputs . Yamaha is a joke !!!!

Fantastic video! You make excellent points and provide ideas for our own media room remodel. Unfortunately, neither BDi nor Salamander make a deep enough cabinet for my Aventage A8. So, I have commissioned a cabinetry carpenter to make a custom floating cabinet for me.

I have the A95K too and I started demon's souls yesterday and what I can see from your footage, the fire and the flames are yellow and orange and it looks totally fine. On my tv it's yellow and nearly red so the fire looks a bit unrealistic...I would like to know what your colour settings are on your tv and the in game contrast/saturation settings. Thanks!

Is there any differences between the 8173 and 8179 ?, I just bought the 8179 ex-demo and the dimensions and everything you described seems identical, i'm guessing there's some detailed difference, nice review cheers, looking forward to getting mine, it's great that there's no flat pack to put together haha

Just picked up a 55" C3 here in the UK instead of the C4 as it is half the price and has the benefit of a year's worth of firmware upgrades. I just did not think paying double the price for a 10% increase in brightness was work it, especially as I wouldn't be aware of any differences since I am not using it alongside a C4! Love the LG remote personally. Those number keys double up as user-customisable shortcuts for other apps such as KZread and Paramount+ which do not have there own dedicated remote button, and are also useful for entering my pin number in the Disney+ app! I get the remote is chunky but at least it is harder to lose down the back of the sofa, feels more premium that the tacky cheap remotes from Panasonic and Samsung and has the awesome pointer system that makes entering text and selecting things so much easier.

After Sony announced the 2024 lineup and found out that the 8K Master Series model will still be the Z9K...I didnt hesitate upgrading my Z8H. People who complains about blooming on these sets are more likely OLED purist...you will get blooming on an LCD and thats just how it is...but how Sony controls the blooming while maintaining picture accuracy is amazing.

Hey mate! Really interested in getting one of these in the next day or so as my local retailer has both on clearance and I'll get them at about the same price. It will be primarily used for gaming/streaming services (movies, shows, youtube etc.) - I never purchase/watch Bluray movies! The TV will be in a theatre room where we have full control of ambient lighting but we do sometimes have things on the TV during the day with natural light filtering in. Do you have any recommendations based on the above? I'm really torn between the two. I have been reading that the stutter/judder with the S90C in particular can be pretty noticeable and I feel this is something that could irritate me but I am yet to see this for myself. I also can't stand the TizenOS but I figure that would be mostly mitigated by an Apple TV (or similar device). Any insight would be very much appreciated! Your video above shows that they're really so very similar overall.

Hey Max, Just picked this unit up myself, and have the same setup that you were/are planning on with the 11.2 system. Can you tell me, for the Atmos speakers (I have SVS prime elevations). Do I just wire them in to the front and rear presence? (Extra SP 1 & Extra SP 2). I’m guessing this is what I do, but just want to be sure. Thanks Max.

@@themafia3119 yep I love it. I replaced a Denon X6500H and I like the sound and fullness of the Yamaha so much more. Note: I use my setup pretty much solely for movies though and little to no music in this room as it’s a dedicated home cinema, so I can’t comment on the music side of things, and from everything I’ve read, the SR8015 is more musically tuned in general. So if you use yours for music, maybe take that into consideration. For movies though, I am super impressed with it. Not a big fan of the front display as it’s a bit too small for me to read the text on the display from my main listening position, but that’s only a minor gripe as I don’t sit there looking at the front display once the movie it going.

I love it everything is clear and concise it is also very puncy and goes deep. It also has a very wide soundstage. It is able to pan scenes very well and blend with the r7 and you cant tell which speaker is playing just the soundstage is wow. it was a huge improvement over my paradigm cc450.

Sony then for that price. But in Eu in Hungary, prices are opposite. 55" C3 can be found for 950e and A80L 1250e. So I will get C3.

Well the arguments before Lg and Samsung tv brighter than Sony tv today was Sony tv so bright and lose colors or someone said washout but what they complained about Sony tv the Samsung and Lg did exactly the same for their new tvs series. Sony tv already bright they don’t need improvement any brighter but the contrast and details and black Sony tv get better than Lg and Samsung tvs!
