did you fund all your spending with savings? Or does your program like subsidise your expenses?
@ItsSapi14 күн бұрын
One last thing, there's this app called "too good to go" which lets you buy a ton of food from all known brands for a super cheap price (they give you food that hasn't been used at the end of the day). It's super economical and sustainable.

how did you know that you wanted to go to community college?
@KB-py4cz4 ай бұрын
i know you weren't asking me, but i am currently about to graduate community college! here are my reasons for choosing cc (and why i think it's worth it to go!): 1. it's muuuuch more affordable. i knew i wouldn't have to stress out about money and could always transfer to a 4 year university afterwards to get the "traditional" experience 2. the class sizes are pretty small, so you get to know your professors and fellow classmates pretty well! i feel like this aspect of connection is something you lose at bigger universities. 3. i didn't feel quite ready to leave home and can still live with my parents. like she mentioned in the video, still living at home makes the transition to college much easier.
@neeeeeaae473627 күн бұрын
here are my reasons! 1. no debt: my parents are able to pay for cc. but college was going to be over 80k for the first two years and i would have to take out student loans which i did not want to do because i wanted little to no debt. 2. financial freedom: having cc free for me sets me up for having financial freedom as i will be living with my parents for another two years. it is normal in my culture for children to stay with parents until they are about 26. i will be saving my money for future use instead of on college! 3. time to make sure what i want to do is final: cc gives people time to explore. luckily i know what i want to major in when i transfer, but taking classes at cc will let me make sure that it’s really what i want to major in and do with my life. 4. maturity: i don’t think i was truly ready to move out at 17. i use my time at home to learn more and prepare for my final two years and a uni. i also would have been living off campus my first year because my uni had a housing problem and i don’t think I was ready to live in a house/apartment by myself that was 15 minutes away from campus, $1000 every month, and walking because i don’t have my drivers license yet! and my mother told me that when i am done with sophomore year of college, she would be okay with me going out of state. 5. another chance: i didn’t realize this, but choosing cc gives me one more chance to get into my dream school. i was rejected from my dream school junior year (which was very understandable bc my stats were horrible) and i have learned so much about the admissions process and what i did wrong! i now have a chance to apply and get in with stats i would be proud of. 6. family: i get to see my family everyday and bond with them and be a really good big sister. family is really important to me and cc allows me to be closer to them. 7. closer to professors: the class sizes are small which means i can connect with my professors more than i were to do so if i were in a huge lecture room! this is useful for networking and getting extra help and making sure you get good grades. they’ll also know me and be helpful for rec letters. and you may be lucky to get professors that teach at other good unis too! ❤❤❤❤
